Euro Camp

8 and a half years later......

Anyone done a Eurocamp holiday recently? Considering going to The Vendee region in June, getting the ferry or chunnel to Calais and driving to the site. Looks like a 6-7 hour drive from Calais, and with 2 kids will need a couple of stops. Might break it up and stay the night about halfway, so we arent getting to the site to late in the day.

Anyhow, just wondered if anyone had any recent experiences they wanted to share?

When we've been we normally travel to st Malo or roscoff form Portsmouth or Plymouth. Less driving on the other side but Longer ferry journey (we normally get overnight) but would rather have kids running around ferry than screaming in back of car. My kids love eurocamps especially kids clubs

we've been a few times, my mrs used to work at the euro camp in marseille en plage , we drove down to folkstone stayed the night, channel tunnel then drove to dijon ,stayed the night there and on to the south the next day, we made it a 3 day journey because of the kids, lovely place ,nice and clean, very chilled in fact, there's talk of us going this year, but i'm not that keen on the mrs so might fuck it off :)

Agree. We have done Roscoff a few times. Head for the coast south / west of Quimper. Its only a couple of hours from the ferry. Calais is a full days drive from anywhere nice.

Went to this one in 2016 with my ex and her(then) teenage son and my teenage daughters. Lots of things to do. Zip wire, water slide with pool, outdoor and indoor swimming pool, segway, paintball, horse riding etc etc. Brilliant holiday, and where i penned the infamous -'She's Got Big Ugly Feet' thread: )

Yeah, much shorter drive in France, but ferry price is £500-600 in comparison to £200 ferry or chunnel to Calais!
