The truth of the matter is Rooney will play shite but the media will think he is MOTM, England will scrape out of the groups and be knocked out next round.

I'd like to see rooney being the cock he is and getting sent off midway through the 2nd have having had a mare of a game . . or perhaps better carried off having torn his hairpiece while attacking a player in an off the ball incident and getting red carded (not beyond the realms of possibility).
Also like to see England go on to win and go through despite rooney being . . . well rooney.


PS. No real logic in this other than that I can't stand the bog-gobblin but I want England to do well so as to focus world attention on English football and thereby increase our revenues as a side effect.

Want England to do well if that involves Rooney so be it. When Beckham got sent off in an England defeat the United spin machine later turned him into a hero.
 
Roy Keane,worst pundit ever?

Just switched on to see him state that Rooney should start v Ukraine!

Only a few days ago was saying that he has not played so should not start,Paddy V arguing that he should play to get fitness.

Not only is he an awful pundit in my opinion he also cant seem to recall where the thread is regarding what he has said previously.

Must be a nightmare for players if hes a manager,you wouldnt know where the hell you were.
