Feel sorry for Milner
Is he a wide player really??
But, he is doing the job asked of him - as the utter professional that he is.
Ask Glen Johnson who he would like to have playing in front of him - I'm sure the work rate of Milner would make him Johnson's choice.
As for the national side - credit to Hodgson who has got a group of players - some with massively inflated egos - playing and working as a team and I like that.
3 more scrappy, shitty 1-0 wins and England have won the thing.... I'll take that!!
it aint going to happen, i wouldnt even entertain the thought, the biggest favour to english football would have been if we had lost all three games, i can only hope that italy batter us and some people see common sense
Common sense?! You think England are "absolute gash"; where's the common sense there? Joe Hart (for me the best keeper in the tournament), Joleon Lescott (for me the best left centre half in the tournament), Ashley Cole (for me the best left back in the tournament), Steven Gerrard (played very well so far), a fit Wayne Rooney and players missing like Micah, Gareth and Jack Wilshire...even yes, England are gash! haha!
We're not France of 1998-2000 nor Spain of 2006-2008, nor even England of 2004-2006, but we're far from gash!
Without really playing well so far - and yes, we do have some poor players in the squad (Spain have Arbeloa!) - we've topped our group having just a few games under our new manager with new tactics and formulas to get used to. We're doing okay-to-well. Why such a downer on it?

The lad was off-side in the build up to that incident. So it doesn't matter what his job was, the worst job done was by the linesman in that period of play.
I know you're all probably gutted England have gone through but i'm buzzing - cheers!

-- Wed Jun 20, 2012 7:24 am --

hahaaa ... can you see the 5th official's head? It's in exactly the wrong place when the ball goes over the line, then he moves it so he can see after the ball has been cleared. Good work!
