What is? They're getting beat, we aren't producing enough quality players yet, but at least the type of football is progressing.Fucking class LOL.
The sad thing is with Stones, Chambers, Loftus-Cheek, Ward-Prowse, Hughes, Redmond, Ings and Kane, England have a group of players who could have done well and are all expected to go on to play for the Seniors.
Most of them are barely played. A wasted opportunity.

Hodgson and Southgate really are a match made in heaven.
Pair of them are absolute frauds. Though I suppose with the way the country favours aggression over skill and forces a style of football completely out of touch with the modern game, it wouldn't really make a difference who is in charge.

I don't understand why Moore, Gibson, Chalobah and Carroll got so much gametime in this tournament, they'll never make the Senior squad.

If, as looks likely, England finish bottom of the group then Southgate will have replicated the achievement of Stuart Pearce in 2013, something to stick on his CV!Hodgson and Southgate really are a match made in heaven.

completely agree. i have no idea why chambers hasn't been played, even dier didn't get called up. the others you mentioned aren't good enough everyone knows it apart from south gate.

These lads are perfect to progress to senior squad.
As someone posted before most are championship standard step into jones and smallings shoes easy then.
And just like the senior team get out of the group and get beat by first half decent team they meet.

Garbut reminds me of Van Blerk. Surely we have better than that ?
Having never seen him play before,so I'm only judging by the first half of this game, but Garbutt doesn't seem to be aware of what is happening around him when he has the ball.
