We need to try and do a deal for De Jong. A swap for Bernardo would be great business for us in my opinion. Bernardo's level has dropped, he wants a change of scene and De Jong is more athletic to run the game for us in the middle of the park. Would rather him than Bellingham.

That’s a daft benchmark to use though. Just because Rodri is better than Casemiro doesn’t make Casemiro an average player.

You could make a case that Shaw, Martinez, Casemiro, Fernandes and Rashford all get into the City team. Then you can compare the squad depth. Wan Bassaka or Rico Lewis? Fred or Phillips? Foden or Sancho?

IMO, it’s a myth that United have a shit squad, just like it’s a myth that City have a huge squad with two world class players in each position.
