There’s no getting away that they’ve now got a very good manager. It had to happen sooner or later. They are on the up and we’re stagnating. The difference in our favour is that we are run brilliantly and they are not. We’ll be there out there abouts every season now. I wouldn’t be so confident of that happening over there.

Their manager deserves a lot of credit , eg ditching Ronaldo , to date he seems quite humble ( and sober) , indeed after we scored the sixth at home to them I thought he might be worse than Ollie.

Competition is good so congratulations on reaching the last 16 of the Thursday cup and putting a smile on the faces of a sea of local urchins , middle aged cockneys, Welsh, Irish day trippers etc whose last excitement was beating us to sign Alexis Sanchez!

I think he has a plan A and a plan B for every game. And he coaches the team all week to play plan A and B.

During a game if plan A doesn't work, he flips to plan B and the opposition seem to have no response. He has done it in the second half of so many big games this season.

It sounds like a rather simplistic overview, but it is basically what he does.
