Wondered how long it would be before the Rags and the media on their behalf tried to appropriate this tragedy.
I know i shouldn't be surprised by Wio any more, but how unbelievably crass to suggest using this outrage as a reason for supporting the Rags.
As has been said before, this should have nothing to do with football.
I really don't mean to cause offence by saying this, but if you are going to associate football affiliations and support with this terrible event then you would have to consider the fact of who the perpetrator supported and logically you would hope the team playing against them wins. That would be incredibly crass and insensitive, and no decent person would suggest this, but my point is that it is just as sickening to link the events the other way round and to try elicit support and emotion for the Rags cause on the back of this. This is just a game of football and there should be absolutely no connection or relevance either way.
Yeah what Ferdinand is saying is a load of ill thought out nonsense. I will not be made to feel guilty for wanting Ajax to win. Football is nothing to do with the events of Monday night.
I've been saying this for a week, they are young and naive and don't really stand a chance unless they have changed their tactics a bit for this gameAjax have to score first and force United out of their defensive shape.
Ajax must surely know that this United team don't score a lot of goals, and I personally will be surprised if I see United scoring more than 2 tonight.
The problem I see with this Ajax side though is they are naive. Against Lyon they were down to 10 men with Lyon hammering on the door yet they flooded their team forward in the counter whenever they could. It was exciting but it nearly cost them a place in the final.

Let's hope so.I'm giving the build up a miss, better for my blood pressure lolTheir best hope is knowing United are not a high scoring side, so at the very least they will always be in the game even if they go behind I would have thought.
Is this shite free to watch on BT sports tonight or norm

Would i be cynical to suggest if they lose they wil say the team were upset about the bombing?I just hope Ajax live up to their name and wipe the floor with them.....
I'm really f**ked off that certain elements of the footballing community have jumped on the Monday night bombing bandwagon. Especially Wio, who needs to disappear up his own arse for all our sakes. It has nothing to do with this game whatsoever.
