Europa League Games 17th march 16(page 72)

It's quite funny really how they miss the significance of the context of this game.
These two "mighty giants" ( copyright every paper)are playing in the second tier of European football - because they are no longer good enough to play at the top level.
Like two bloated sad old drunks swinging at each other in a run-down pub car park.

May the comb fight of the bald ones commence. There is no outcome that will not be hilarious and there will be pitch invasions and everything at the end. This one is a gimmie, blues.

And a look at tonight's programme.

Great occasion tonight.

2 of the biggest most successful teams in England by far playing each other in a much maligned tournament,UEFA must be loving this,it's no wonder the CL will be expanded by invitation only, better ties tonight than whats been on offer in the CL the last 2 nights.

Anfield will be rocking tonight, clean sheet and a couple of goals will be great.

I hope you do them tonight like you did us last week but don't kid yourself that this game is bigger than the Champions League in anyone other than the minds of those playing tonight. It was of course only the last round when you were playing Augsburg and the rags were playing Midtjylland, hardly glamour ties and not a patch on PSG v Chelsea.

Tonight will be a good sideshow though until next week when Arsenal play Barca and we hopefully finish off Kiev.

Couldn't agree more. What a historic occaision.
If only we could get Forest and Villa in that competition too.
