Notice how the normally vociferous Palace fans are really quiet tonight. They are playing at home against a team with a low block and no ambition. It seems it's not only the Etihad that struggles for atmosphere when faced with these kind of games. We face this kind of problem weekly.
Split-screening between Palace and Shelbourne-Linfield (iPlayer).
Plenty of drama in the latter, ref sent a Linfield player off for a high boot earlier, then a penalty to Shelbourne that they missed and then he's just given Shelbourne a free kick only for VAR to overrule it and give another penalty. 1-0 Shelbourne.

I was going to wait for half time but I knew Palace would struggle tonight.
They're a team that does well when they're the underdogs and teams don't sit back, completely different proposition when you're the outright favourites and expected to dictate the game.
They should still be going through though. 3G/4G pitch next week, so they want to get a couple tonight really.

From somebody watching it, it really won't ! It may well end up 1-0, 20 minutes left, Palace's finishing has been pretty poor.Probably end up 6-4.

They should be pissing this on squad value and player ability but this is what happens when a reactive team is asked to be proactive, they look clueless.
