European Super League | ECJ rule that UEFA and FIFA acted unlawfully in blocking Super League (p 29)

Well who isn't excited about Nottingham Forest v Honved

My Hungarian relative, who supports Honved (United & Barcelona), took me to a Honved match in Budapest in the 80’s. I was in my teens at the time. I hated them straightaway as they play in red. I asked him to take me to a Ferencvárosi match. My relative hates Ferencvárosi. Ferencvárosi became my Budapest team. Not been back to see them since then. But I will do one day.

The best bit of the video was when the be said the process has and will be fair and open. Lol!

Just had a thought - what if we joined this new super league and pissed it ahead of Liverpool and United like we do the current league… do you think there is a chance they could look into our finances and charge us with breaking 115 unspecified rules of unknown origins?
Yep

Interesting I didn’t actually see that! Quite a bit different then and massively favours the historically ‘big’ clubs.
Clubs would have to survive on annual revenue alone. So no equity cash injections, no direct payments to clear loans. Can't think of many clubs in the PL that have not had capital cash injections from time to time. Certainly Arsenal, Leicester, Chelsea, City, Villa, would be out for starters. Very strange concept. Imagine running a business and banning any external investment. Everywhere would go bust. Nothing about debt though. That's all fantastic. The more the merrier. It doesn't even mention infrastructure investment. Asset stripping scumbags like the Glazers would be fine though. Happy days.

I was disgusted when Manchester City announced they were in favour of the proposals put forward, utterly ashamed. I was an advocate of the English League, the English football system, the cups, the prestige, the heritage.

I wanted to continue to experience and feel the joy of seeing the club named as Champions of England, Champions of the FA Cup and to want to throw that all away for some plastic league sickened me, because I still felt a connection to the other clubs in the country that I wanted City to compete with. I didn't want that tradition to die.

This week something has changed in me, and whilst i'm still not a proponent of this 'Supa Leeg', the unjustified hatred felt towards my club and my fellow supporters by fans and professionals at these other clubs, the glee at the announcement of the PL charges, the threat of relegation, titles stripped etc, a lot of that 'love' for the 'English game' is waning.

I've now adopted the stance that, whatever happens, i'll continue to follow Manchester City FC in whatever journey it takes, be that to the top of the English game, the European one or beyond.
The inter galactic league?

Those Martians are known to do a bit of sport washing and I find their grounds generally lack atmosphere.

Too much emotion still after Monday to really consider the merits of this. Needs a clear head. I’ll park it in the back of my mind for a week or so.

Nahh. It's easy. A new league controlled by the likes of Madrid, Barcelona, Juventus, United, Liverpool? Never in a million years would that be good for City. If they want a new league format, just replace the CL under UEFA.
