European Super League | ECJ rule that UEFA and FIFA acted unlawfully in blocking Super League (p 29)

if they cared about the fans why are the glazers and to some extent fsg still at the clubs when they have been roundly derided , they care about the fans as long as it suits them to, if they feel that it will be better for them financially then what the fans think wont matter a jot
Maybe we're saying two different things. I mean they care about fans opinions. Fans opinions stopped the American owners getting what they wanted last time - To make lots of money in an ESL.

Over on rawk btw they are under the impression that state run clubs will not be allowed in the new SL format. They're desperate for it. And its those opinions, the promise that lfc or utd would be top dogs once again, that might just carry it over the line.

If the uk teams, PSG and Bayern don’t join it’s not worth a wank anyway
La liga is shit
Seria a has been shit and boring for years

Personally I still love watching a huge Seria a game even if the quality is not what it was.

We are not state run...
Are you feeding into their narrative?

This is an ECJ decision which means UEFA and all EU based FAs will be bound by it. If the UK government block any UK teams by legislation then the only route for those teams would be to challenge the constitutionality of that legislation.

The ruling today means super league is back but it may be a European competition without UK sides…
Then it wouldn’t really work, the Premier League is the envy of the World, if our clubs refuse to take part the new Super League would be a dead duck.

Just on Sky News, the Rags have said they are committed to the Premier League and the Champions League, the first thing I can applaud them for in many years. Without English Clubs there is no Super League that would attract the revenues they want, tell them to do one. If Real Madrid, Barcelona, PSG, Juventus and the like want to form their own league leave it to them. The TV audience would soon dwindle with half empty grounds with hardly any away fans.

There is simply no slack in the football calendar to run a European League that has 20 participants, plus only one team per season could win the League, how would Bayern, Real, etc feel if they didn’t win a trophy for a few years, you could see them being kicked out of their domestic leagues as they go in search of a bigger revenue gap between them and the teams not involved. There are too many issues here, let’s hope the PL clubs have the balls to distance themselves asap.

For me it looks like a direct replacement for the champs league. Why can't we as a club look at the proposal and make a club decision as to which European competition we enter?
As long as it doesn't take anything away from the league
It looks like Madrid and barca will definitely join this and the Italian big clubs
This will reduce the sponsorship money and interest in champs league.
So are we stuck with the champs league because of this government bill when all the big clubs across Europe jump ship to the super league?

Either the champs league or this super league needs all the big clubs in the competition
If there is a split it water's down both competitions
Super league needs the prem teams for there revenue model and the champs league still need the history clubs like Madrid and barca for the sponsors to stay put.
If there is a split there are no winners and in the long run less prize money

Doesn't make sense, how are Americans coercing the premier league to hit us with 115 charges ?
But you know US Hedgies control the PL club majority who voted in the current rules under which we are charged?
They just want maximum cash extraction from the PL & UEFA/FIFA comps which includes eliminating rivals like us.
