European Super League | ECJ rule that UEFA and FIFA acted unlawfully in blocking Super League (p 29)

Here we go again ffs,I have no interest in a super league and to be brutally honest without English clubs in it,it won’t garner the interest or revenue streams, just as interesting is the government looking to rush through legislation now over English clubs leaving to join this ..

Here's a thought...
If the red tops via their Yank surrogates want to rule the roost just look at what the Saudis have done to Golf....

The rags are the first English club to speak out according to sky sports news….

But only if they still wanted to be part of the PL. If they don't, then anything is on the table.
And if they want to be part of the FIFA and UEFA structures which, I imagine, they wouldn't be if they withdraw from the PL. As I understand it, the judgment merely says UEFA were wrong to penalise clubs when they didn't have any defined regulations for external competitions. That is a common theme in ECJ decisions, but they have that now. As long as FIFA and UEFA are the governing bodies, then any external competition will have to comply or be completely externalised, which I imagine wouldn't fly. As long as FIFA and UEFA can show their regulations support the EMS, then an ESL doesn't look so attractive any more.

Also, don't be fooled by this new "merit" argument. As I understand it, the original members are permanent unless they get relegated from the bottom division. That is not going to happen, of course. It's not to replace the CL, the intention is to replace the domestic leagues which, imo, is another reason it won't fly.

And there are others .....

Was there not a fine for attempting to breakaway ? Will we get our money back ? Making our revenue look even more impressive Making any action for breaching FFP looking even more silly.

Increasingly in opposition fan forms I am seeing lfc, utd, barca fans calling for, being for an ESL so that City can be stopped.

I think the red clubs are going to break away soon, or demand City, PSG, Newcastle, threat, are dealt with.

We'll be invited to it, but it will be a small seat at the table. We are the threat they fear most.

Interesting reasoning. Would not surprise me if the likes of United use this as leverage against us.

It would be amusing if Spurs/Levy tried it on. "Who are you?"
