European U21 Championships

Holtby had a very good second half for ze Germans.

But overall, the Dutch were the better of the two teams.

Expanding on my earlier post, if Wilshire was available and Hodgson did not take some of the kids away for that pointless friendly against Brazil we could have lined up:

--------Butland-------
Clyne-Jones-Caulker-Rose
----Wilshire-Rodwell----
Zaha-----Ince--Chamberlain
--------Welbeck--------

That looks a lot better than what we had out against Italy.

Then you have the likes of Henderson, Redmond, Shelvey etc.. on the bench.. that's not too bad.

These players need regular game time for England and who is to say that team cannot win? Winning mentality at national level needs to be developed more for England.

Hodgson needs to stop taking kids to the first team when he will only bench them, let them play and develop relationships with the players their own age who they will probably play with in the England squad for years to come.

Give them tournament experience.

England should of sent Wilshire, Chamberlain, Rodwell and Jones to the U21 Euros.

With them playing we by far have a better chance of winning, these players need to develop winning mentalities at national level.

What is the point in them just playing pointless friendlies for the first team, some just maepke the bench?

Look at Hollands team today, some of them players could make the first team but its clear the Dutch FA or Van Gaal wants them playing and winning, developing that winning mentality.

At last, someone with a football brain on here :-) ;-) very good point mate.

Ibrahim

...who's been linked to Arsenal, Liverpool, Spuds et al and touted as the new Vieira, which will mean a lot of attention from the media no doubt. The lad's agent is working wonders for him.

If Ibby is the new Vieira then Paddy wasn't all that good!

Liking the look of a front 3 of Zaha, Ince and Redmond, pace pace pace.

England U21 boss Stuart Pearce: "The Norwegians haven't seen the sun for eight months so it's an advantage for us

Ok then.

Wow I can't believe how bad we are here, inability to control the ball or make any decent passes.
