European wheat beers

I love wheat beer and actually suspect that the hoegaarden brewery put small amounts of crack into the beer to make it addictive.
I have carried out quite a lengthy experiment and can tell you that wheat beer is useless as a slimming aid as nowadays I look like I'm smuggling a fucking wok up my shirt.

Hoegaarden was better before Inbev bought the factory.

Deffo better before inbev! I used to get in on tap in a bar near band on the wall, it was lovely. Gone right off it, I think erdinger weissbräu is my fave, gets me arse holed.

Try Westmalle Tripel (or Dubbel if you prefer the Dunkel style). Belgian trappist beer but pretty widely available and worth the effort, quite often reasonably cheap as well........it is bloody lethal though.....

Few things can beat sitting in the linear park next to the Rhine in Cologne in summertime, drinking one of the German wheat beers in the open air bar-cafes and watching the parade of supermodel standard women strolling by in short skirts
