Eurovision

This Sat is the 60th Anivessary of Eurovision
Watching the first semi final and its riveting, for some reason I got the bug and love it.
So much so bit of a euro party this weekend followed by CITY on Sunday.
Having a punt and so far going for
1st. Italy
2nd Austria (100/1)
3rd Estonia
4th. Russia
Dark horses. Australia

You don't get out much do you?

I can remember being smitten with Dana's prettiness when I was about 10 or 11.

That's about it for me as far as Eurovision goes.

My family all love it. Kind of an ironic thing because we all like to laugh at the ridiculous acts. I know a Bosnian family though that take it deadly seriously and have a big meal and party.

My wife's obsessed with Eurovision, and before we had kids we used to go watch it all over Europe. I couldn't care less, but it was a great excuse to visit places we wouldn't normally go - so places like Kiev, Belgrade and we now live in Helsinki because we liked the place so much after coming the year Finland hosted.

She can tell you everything about all the songs weeks beforehand. I'm a bit disappointed Finland didn't get through to the final as they would have done well in a bigger public vote and it was a good cause, but hey.

So based on the last few weeks of all the songs being played in our kitchen - Estonia are a good shout actually. Australia might do OK as they're inoffensive enough that folk won't avoid voting for them, whereas the rest of Europe always has countries they've pissed off. Russia and Spain will be up there, Romania aswell. Serbia appear to have entered a blue whale.

Listening again to the songs, can't understand how Sweden are Favourites.
Agree think Romania will do well and quite like Belgium the more I listen to it.
Think the best bet is Estonia at 10/1

I was rising like a phoenix

Bollocks to the argument about the Human Rights Act, I know which 'great European institution' I'd pull Britain out of.

If UKIP had made a manifesto commitment to withdrawing from Eurovision they'd have fucking walked the election.

The best comedy night of the year makes pop idol/ x factor look talented. .

Hope platini's not watching, he'll

It will happen. We already bribed our way into the Asian football Confederation.

I just checked out our entry and fuck me it has 'nil pwa' written all over it.

You're not kidding. Stuck in the 20's.

But it's good with the bookmakers..

Eurovision is one big riddle to me... my vote is going to Latvia or Austria at the moment, unless my mind is changed tonight.
