Eva Carneiro(ex Chelsea Doctor)

Full accountability and and apology is what she got from Chelsea ! And good on her after the way she was treated. She's very good at her job and I would love her at city.

Haha people in Stone Age probably had more respect for women than him. More like those in the Dark Ages;)

Is nominating first team players for ice bucket challenges online a sign of incompetency and unprofessionalism for a physio, whose role in a football club is slightly different from a regular GP?

Don't know why he seemed to link ego with beauty. That's just stereotype. And the point about salary is equally awful. Don't see why earning a lot should be enough to stop one from speaking up against injustice.

And why should a woman leave the sensitivity behind when working in a man's world? The sensitivity is always there for everyone, regardless of their gender and job nature. The whole case only becomes a gender-sensitive issue when people started making sexist comments.
Doctor. She was team doctor. The physio was a bloke.

There's a decent article in The Telegraph about the case which makes it pretty clear that, unlike what a previous poster in this thread suggested, Dr Carneiro comfortably survived the first day and it was the Club who were left in a very bad position.

For those who said that this was about money, what more of a rejection of that notion than Carneiro turning down the £1.2 million settlement offer from the club? There are not many who would have stayed at the poker table with that pile of chips shoved towards them without knowing that the hand they were about to play was unbeatable.

Carneiro held out for the apology that finally arrived on Tuesday because she judged that to be just as important as a financial settlement that would have made anyone’s life a lot easier. She will also have known that the first day of Chelsea’s defence on Monday was going to be one final attempt to test her strength of character with an all-out attack on her motives.

Having scrutinised Carneiro’s record for workplace-related misdemeanours one imagines that there were few fist-bumps in Chelsea’s legal office when they realised that all they had were some sketchy reports of her signing autographs and a YouTube nomination for an ice-bucket challenge. If those count as genuine code-of-conduct breaches at Chelsea, then the HR department certainly has cracked down since the days John Terry was accused of conducting private training ground tours for cash.

Carneiro passed the test of the first-day assault and, with Chelsea having played their best shots, their former doctor returned the next day to bowl out the opposition in one session.

Spot on, but this also does not mean she is not a dick of an employee who is a bit star struck and attention seeking. That still doesn't absolve CFC from employment law though

Please tell me when the good doctor sought attention? Other than being made the centre of attention by neanderthals who thought her tits were of more relevance than her professional competence.

Hope Sian Massey gets involved with a few of their games next season and makes loads of great calls against them.

So all that talk of her being a WAG-wannabe, banging the players etc etc surprisingly....a load of balls.
