Even though we keep winning

we could of and should of scored more goals in all the games, but that will come as players gel, can not belive people saying we dont look good any game is premier is hard 3 wins out of 3 what more do people want, wait till its 5 wins out of 5 then everyone will be happy

I agree with the OP to a degree, even allowing for the team needing to gell, there is the same basic problem built in.

Hughes will continue to play his one tactic of the missing full-back, the central defenders have to come across so either they stay together and the far post is uncovered, or they stay apart and a ball across the area goes in.................sound familiar?, its what happend most games last season.

We look really really shite.......no synergy, everyone seems to be working to a different agenda

Dont get me wron there are flashes of it working but it huat looks like 11 strangers to me

Palace nearly turned us over and Pompey played much much much better football with no decent players.....

Anyone else agree?

To be kind mate you need to get to your optician then you will stop talking shite

Everyone is entitled to form an opinion, regardless of how it sounds!

My take on this is quite simple......we are winning at the mo and haven't even started to trot, yet alone gallop..........this season could well be a one-horse race!

I for one would rather win a game 1-0 than get fuck-all....but we played well!!!

Our problem is that some fans don't seem to like change and would rather the 'Typical City' tag stay well and truly at the heart of the club.

The next time i want to walk away from a match and wish to utter 'Typical City' is when i have just witnessed a Cup triumph and feel a little swell of pride!

Totally agree we haven't fully gelled, they are still trying to find the best system, but they will and quick.

Roll on the Arse and the Rags.

if we win both of these games or don't lose and play well then people on here will say we will win the league.

We could lose both and still finish in the top 6, we would just know that they are still ahead of us.

Early days not playing that well but can't wait until when we are.

Real Madrid looked ordinary on Sunday we have gelled quicker than them.

This attitude that "the other team should never have a chance and if they do it's cos we're playing shite" is doing my head in.
Of course the opposition are going to have chances-it's a football match!!!!!!

The difference is that the top teams take theirs...clinically....that's what 32million quid buys you(most of the time.)

Watching rags v arse the other day,the defences looked absolutely gash, countless midfield passes went astray, dodgy keepers...both teams looked like they would score every time the ball went into the box....and their the supposed "top four" candidates!

We've got the players,and they'll play better.
They'll also raise their game against better sides when they have to,don't worry about that.

Just enjoy watching potentially the best City team in history. There'll be far more ups than downs this season.

Top post mate - I'd say only Chelsea and Spurs have looked genuinely class so far this season, and its no coincidence that both their squads have had very limited personnel changes since last season.

We don't have a god-given right to stroll into games and pick up 3 points unencumbered by the opposition, who should just let us to play our game and be grateful we've deigned to turn up and allow them to play us.

The Palace game was a big deal for them due to our new found profile, and they were bang up for taking the game to us and making it as hard for us as possible - knocking out City's plastic galacticos and scoring a victory for real football. Portsmouth were at home in front of their new owner, and wanted to go at our 'over-paid prima donnas' (TM), trying to rattle our players and disrupt our game plan.

The really encouraging thing is that we came out of both games with a win and a clean sheet - that's what the top teams have always done even when they don't play that well. We won't get our way this season as we are the new 'most hated club in the league', so we won't always look as good as we know we can be, but as long as we keep on winning I don't see that we have too much to complain about.

We aren't quite firing on all cyclinders yet, but there's probably only Chelsea and spurs who really are, maybe Arsenal but they just got beat. I'd say the 10 minutes of football after we scored against Palace was the best we've played and shows what we're capable of. It was one touch stuff with fantastic passing and movement in which we cut through them with ease 3 or 4 times in a short space of time, it was mouth watering football

A sign of a good team is often when they aren't playing to their best yet still grind out results, which is what we've done. We'll have to do better in the next two games though, let's hope we do
