Evening News gets the red pen out again

One thing that irks me with the MUEN, is that a lot of the time in headlines and articles we are referred to as Man City whereas the Manchester in the rag's name is never abbreviated. Evidence here in these two index pages

OFF S !!!!!!!!
Whenever people ask me who I support if I aint got a top on is ... Man City.
What the fuck is wrong with you people complaining about fuck all ?

Don't agree with Oakie.

The article is about the stadium expansion, but the subtext is that we will struggle to fill it.

There are references to 'lower' crowds we had in League One along with apparent excuses, which are then dismissed by the author. Why would any article on the City expansion even make reference to that? The wording "Some City fans haven't helped themselves" is just bizarre.

For me it was clear as day this article was written by a rag. A click check of his Twitter profile confirmed as such.

By the same token it also shows 11 positives, which far,far outweighs the negatives ... something you`ve failed to see.

It's just another thinly veiled dig at us dressed up in parts to seem like a plausible article,it should never have seen the light of day and any blue who can't see that needs to open his mincers

A United fan from Essex reporting about City in the local Manchester paper... Ridiculous.

It's not a case of maths Oakie. Saying City will have the 2nd biggest stadium isn't a positive, it's pointing out factual information.

The article is about how we are making the stadium bigger and how City fans will be under the microscope, due to the 'Emptihad' comments and how we've pulled out excuses when 'only' getting 27k in the past. The excuses are then dismissed by the author.

There was literally no point to this article, apart from to question our support.

You should try reading the article again as the author even states "silly" about it being called the Emptihad.

It's like announcing that the rags have just got a megabucks deal to have chevrolet as their shirt sponsor, then going on to say what shit, poorly built cars they are.
