Ever sat in the home end at an away game?

Stood in the away end at Bramhall Lane. Thats was when the stadium had three sides because of the cricket pitch. Shows you how long ago that was. Don't ask me how I ended up in the home end I went with my dad and his mate. Anyway the match ended 3-3. So I did jump up and down three times. I got knocked off the terracing and onto the walkway everytime, but we stayed there all the game.

One of my favourite players of all time played for Sheff United, Tony Currie. City and Sheff United had decent teams that year, can't remember what year it was though.

Sorry, I almost forgot, old age setting in. I've stood in the away end at Elland Road - now that was scary.
We arrived with a few minutes to go before the start and they were'nt letting any more City fans in the away end. So we put our scarves under our jackets and walked around to their end and got in. A 2-2 draw I think was the score and I remember Willie Donachie getting one of the goals - a rarity in its self.

Sat with the chelsea fans when we lost 6-0 under sven, I skipped work for the game and it was the worse day of my life, everytime they scored I had to stand up cos I was in with the nutta's, didnt clap though.

Quite often in late 70s early 80s. We did it for the buzz. Worst moments happened at Coventry and Chelsea. At Coventry we arrived late and went in the home end. There were chants of CITY,CITY, obviously from the cov fans. After the chant one of our lot started singing MANCHESTER LA LA LA then stopped and realised what he had done. We got a proper kicking as we ran down to the corner trying to escape over the barriers. Funny thing was there were other blues who had done the same thing, as the previous season their end was split in half with us being in one side. This paticular season we were given the opposite end

At Chelsea we were stood on the shed when Jim Tolmie scored for us , won 1. nil. Pooy pants time. Not a good thing to do !!

sat in the away end at liverpool a couple of years back, the year when anelka scored the winner right at the end. nearly broke my partners fingers when he scored. keeping my mouth shut was one of the hardest things i have ever had to do.
great feeling though knowing we were the only happy people around.

i've given it up as a bad job.united was no problem, burnden park was abit scary but preston.i nearly got my head caved in by some of there boys after jumping up when we scored.one occasion when i was glad to see a copper!

have only been in "our end" once at old trafford and always jump up when we score( dont give a fook how they react either).my favourite one was many years ago ,the day before the full members cup final-we were 2 down at half time and got it back to 2 all, my mate and i went mental when we equalised and after looking round realised that there was hundreds of other city in their end as well.

Sat a couple of time in the wrong end when we were shit and in the 3rd Div,
Northampton 2-2, Luton 1-2 (I think) and Colchester mid week (no idea of the score) at Northampton just sat there as the stewards were chucking all the City supporters out.

Done it a few times, at Norwich, Ipswich, Southampton, Derby, Arsenal about 3 or 4 times off the top of my head..

Nearly caused a riot at Ipswich as there were a few of us, same as Derby as we had to be led out & escorted round the the away end, nearly got beaten to a pulp at Southampton as i was up when we scored & it seemed every lunatic in Hampshire was sitting within 10 Seats in any direction of me...LOL

All the fun of the Fair though...

many times ,the best was blackburn mind you it was more like the home end.old trafford had a city scarf on inthe utd road terrace got escorted along the side of the pitch and put in with the city fans.Anfield no problem, oldham chaddy end pulled out a city flag and they got abit moody.grimsby was funny 4 of us sat inthere main stand city shirts on singing, they didnt no what to make of us.that year inthe second division it was easier to buy tickets inthe home end.
