Ever sat in the home end at an away game?

Seems to me Blackburn is a common occurrence.
Anyway, Blackburn 1994-95, about 5 of us. We all made a pact to keep quiet if we scored and to just stand up if they did. I can't remember if Rosler got the equaliser or to take us 2-1? anyway we all jumped up and to my amazement didn't get twatted or ejected. When Walsh ( I think) got the winner there was no stopping us; it might aswell have been the home end. Some bloke in a flat cap said "Sit down and shut the fuck up" only for my mate to say "Ahh fuck off, you've won the league anyway". We were near the front, so I still don't know how we got away with not getting something launched at my head.

When I was younger and less sesible went in the Kop at Liverpool Franny Lee scored and me and my mate jumped up to cheer got chased all over the kop, but the best on was when Law scored THAT backheel we were in the stretford paddock and went mental no **** said a word.

Done it more times than I can remember. Never had any trouble. Keep quiet if it seems hairy, cheer if it's not.

I'd rather go int he home end than not got.

Old Trafford about 5 times
Blackburn about 6 times
Burnely a couple
Anfield about 3 times
Spurs
Arsenal
Leicester
Wolves
Luton
Bradford twice
Stoke
Reading
Wigan

Plenty more, too.

The secret is to buy the best seats you can. In the cheap seats you could get a slap any time.

At St James park two seasons in a row (06/07 and 07/08). I live in Scotland and one of my mates is a big Newcastle fan who went to a lot of games. He lives abroad now though so didn't go last season and obviously they won't be playing City this season haha! Anyway he could get amazing seats, a few rows back at the halfway line so me and my mate who also supports City would sit with the Newcastle fans and City beat them both games we were there. The first time we managed to not get noticed but the other game (it was 2-0 City, pretty sure it was 2nd Jan, it was bloody freezing at night) when we scored some Geordies started giving us abuse as they noticed us celebrating. I have to admit though they were not threatening at all, they just seemed a bit annoyed. I miss those away games at Newcastle, much easier and cheaper to get to by train than Manchester (I live in Dundee).

Plenty of times including at Leeds for the FA cup ties in 77 and 78, Bradford for the Trevor Morley goal and Derby for the 6-0 defeat.

I got a main stand ticket from a Forest fan friend for the game at the City Ground when the Dibble/Crosby incident happened. Nobody around me saw the goal. We were all staring straight ahead waiting for Dibble to boot it upfield.

I was at the most recent derby game at the swamp using a mate's season ticket in the north stand as he was on holiday.

I had a severe warning from him about my behaviour, risk to his season ticket etc.

I was also with one rag who knew I was a blue.

Anyways, the rags around me said they hadn't realised until the second equaliser went in that I was a City fan, I didn't jump up or anything just punched the air in a dignified way. At the third equaliser I was able to give it some to the rags around me, minutes later I began to regret a few of the remarks I had made.

They are neither gracious in defeat or victory and I swear you'd have thought they had won the treble again at the final whistle.

Needless to say I won't be going again.

Several times - the most noteable was Stoke away when it was kicking off everywhere we looked. We were then outed by one absolute knob and left at half time before getting killed. At Goodison we were moved into the away end for our own safety and my own manager exposed me at Anfield, luckily we were surrounded by Irish daytrippers.
Blackburn for promotion was just like a home game and all other games have been fine.

I couldn't do it at the Swamp though, I would just feel too dirty.

Forest away last game of the 94-95 season.
Forest away 99/00, Bart-Williams scored a screamer in the first minute and i stood up and clapped, stayed quiet for Fat Bob's goal, and Goater's first, but when Goater got his second I compulsively jumped up. Got a few dirty looks but no more. Worst bit was that I was in the stand directly above the City fans and was getting abuse off them on the way out despite being a blue myself!
Went in the Chesterfield end in the Carling Cup game a few years ago... I've never been so silent.

Done it quite a few times. Burnley was a memorable one when we hammered them and my mate got a slap.

On a more bizarre note, has anyone ever sat in the away end at a home game?

I have. Long story.

Done a few in the home (away) end

Everton
Birmingham
Sheff U
Stoke
Liverpool
WBA
Wigan
Balckburn

The funniest was Everton away, I was in the lower Gladys street end and went to put a bet on City 3-1 the daft scouse girl behind the counter shouted out ' Is that Man City to win 3-1?' , It did not go down well, neither did my celebration when Micah headed in a last minute equaliser!
