I'm finding it very enjoyable after they were one of the worst bunch complaining about our money; "doing it the right way" "anyone can win with money" "We dont want to be owned by some foreign billionaire"

Only for them to come pouring out of the woodwork this season saying how they have big money and will be challenging the top 4 and other teams should be worried about after their excellent transfer window with Koeman in charge.

Would love it if they went down after all that, also freeing the rags of Rooney on megawages was a crime.
 
its not about the money anymore the premier league and uefa FFP have setup to stop that sort of thing its now about the image rights media power and how much tv are showing your games the power of the arm chair fans around the world is now the golden ticket. forget a fan base built in england and fans turn up to games on a wet cold night that does not sell to the tv company anymore armchair fans want superstars names and winners the glory hunters sat in a chair at home or in a bar in Indian or usa or china that's now the new power not the big money owners

yes you need both money and world media but that now takes time to build and the other top 6 clubs have all but ruled the market and the room for another will be slim to none the only thing going for everton is the derby with liverpool the rival team is a good base to build from and you don't get a game of football without 2 teams and if you start beating your rival then people will take note
 
See how many want to broadcast any games in front of empty stadiums - although the armchairs are the golden egg, the matchgoing fans are the goose that laid it!

I remember reading a post on one of their forums some years back saying that if the sheikh had bought Everton instead of us then he’d have gone about things in a more “respectful” way!

Also, does anyone remember that game at home to them in the first few months of Mancini’s reign? It had been postponed from early on in the season and when it finally got played it was crucial in terms of us trying to get a top 4 spot. We lost 2-0 and they were all giving it “2 nil, and we spent fuck all”. Well they’ve spent a shit load since Moshiri came in and are doing a lot shitter than we were back then.

I also remember when they beat us at the Etihad in the 2010/11 season (in a midweek game that was freezing) and some bile-ridden Evertonian came on 5Live calling us a 'soulless club' - like a football club can possess a soul, the fucking clown.

That said, I don't mind them as a club as much as others on here discernibly seem to. Unlike most City fans, I'm well disposed towards scousers.
 
I hate Everton too!! Not even arsed about the ins and outs of owner, club, doing things the right way. I just want someone in the team who can trap or pass a ball. Even a glancing header on a good day!!

It was fucking cold that night! I remember getting in my car after the match and it was something ridiculous like -8.
 
Everton are similar to City in the 80s. They are well on the way on their downward spiral. Kenwright is just another Swales, over emotional with no strategic vision. There is nothing worse than a fan running the business. It has been a club trapped in the past for decades and every time I have visited Woodison in the last ten years it has had the stench of decay, just like Maine Road used to. I think their fans have finally realised they have to embrace change....but I fear it's too late for them. They should start by stopping playing the Z cars theme tune before they run out on the pitch. It is just embarrassing.

We feel your pain we have been there. I feel guilty panning your club as I personally know some great lads who are loyal Everonians and you come across as decent too.
