This is going to be tough for me. My Dad died two days ago and it will be the first City match without him.

He grew up in Moss Side and as a kid would 'jib in' underneath peoples legs to get in the ground. A regular at the old Kippax. Said the greatest moment was the roar when Colin Bell returned from injury.

The first City match I wasn't by his side watching. Fucking hurts.

Hope City win for him. Though it would be typical if they didn't. Xx
So sorry about your dad argyle.
He'll be up there watching

Yes, I know they are .
I'm just saying why I think that is and how it can soon change.
Same for every set of fans up and down the country. Including us.
You like anyone who turns your rivals over, even if its just for a day.
To be fair. I had a soft spot for City when they won the league cup in the mid 70s. I just loved the Dennis Tueart overhead goal and thought he was like Pele or someone. Well I was a little kid at the time. It always stuck with me and I would sometimes look for their results.

As I have already said on this site, I admired how your fans stuck with them team when they went two leagues down. Not many teams would have fans so loyal.

Of course, if we were up there challenging I would want you to lose for our sake. But if we could not win it I would like City to do so and I will never say that about Liverpool, Manure United, Chelsea, Arsenal or Spurs.

However, we are in the cup today and I hope we sneak a jammy win. I doubt it though and I just cannot see us winning. If we lose I will be gutted, but I will still hope City lift the cup

Ancelotti has stated they have been able to work all week on a particular gameplan.

Be interesting to see what it is and if built to counter against us starting again with a false nine again?

I hope we don't go more conventional and start with Sergio, as I think that also means taking away other fundamental components that make us much greater than the sum of our parts.

Possibly switch out Mahrez for Foden on the right to allow Sterling to come back in, maybe Fern for Rodri?

Otherwise, need to go with strongest balance to get a win today.
I‘ve been hearing this messi reference all week and finally clicked to see what fuss was about and all he said was he didn’t mention messi to avoid fear in his team while in spain .
So that means his game plan today is to prime his team and kick the shit of our players.
Well that explains **** richarlison

Sorry for your loss mate.

Everton are no mugs and Carlo has the respect of a certain Mr Guardiola so we gotta be on it from the first whistle today. Hopefully that'll be enough to get through this tricky fixture. I'll be on the valium sandwiches again this evening - come on you Blues!
