All piss in the same pot. Used to have a bit of a "soft" spot for the toffees. They were in a similar situation to us. Overshadowed by the success of their inner city rival, ran on a shoe string budget. They have shown their true colours tonight.

We submitted reasons as to why we wanted the game off to the powers that be. The powers that be authorised it.

Don't get the confusion.

If I asked my mate to give us £100 and he obliged and then his wife found out and went apeshit who's at fault!

We have asked for something and the regulators have agreed.

Gary Neville can do one an all!! . He is about as impartial as this virus itself.

Yep. Torres scored and more than half the team go to celebrate with him. If he’s got it, as has been reported, and if it’s the new, more contagious version of this thing then it’s not going to help control any false negatives, positives that are pending and don’t show etc.

Football will seem even more soulless than it already comes across without celebrations but if they want the show to go on it’s going to need it because the whole of the UK is in the deep end right now and the Christmas and New Year effect hasn’t even occurred yet.

Just goes to show that money is everything,the screaming,crying and wailing over a postponement,is mostly about money fulfilling tv deals and in general people being put out over missing a game of football live at a stadium or on tv.Do these bastards not realise that we are in the midst of a global pandemic and if reports are right hospital numbers are passing what we had in the first lockdown,absolute bunch of scumbags,if the virus comes to their door you can bet they’ll be singing a different tune then ..

Not sure you can begin to compare EFC's statement to the Villa and City statements when we lost games to COVID , it clearly is not reasonable, as for short notice 2,000 supporters who have to live within Tier two merseyside to attend the match is hardly an inconvenience.
It appears EFC are more annoyed about the loss of money/TV etc., cant think of any other reason for a club to put out such an insensitive statement, because with the amount of injuries and tiredness of their squad and lack of players to rotate the postponement in football terms is definitely to their advantage , we would have hammered them.
 
Not sure why they're so angry TBH, at least they'll have a chance to get their 4 players missing back again.
 
Looking at the situation in the lower leagues this is a key moment in the balance between COVID and football. It will take one maybe two more premier league clubs to have outbreaks like ours and a league postponement is on the cards.
