Everton (A) | Game Postponed

Blame Moyes for that.

I've seen other Everton fans saying cancelling the game was the right thing to do tbf. Our injured players can rest so it's actually a bonus for them, and City's can recover. It's not the end of the world. We can play you another time when it's safe. I'm currently awaiting the results of a COVID test as I'm doing a clinical trial at the moment and got called in to have swabs etc. done because I was having COVID symptoms. I'm not well right now and it sucks.

I'm amazed BHA, the London teams and Southampton are still going ahead with games though.
Get well soon FLAG, we won’t think any less of you if you are an infected toffee... :-)

Maybe they should read this (if they can read)

The bit about the lad in his 20's, his ribs cracking under CPR, and that he didn't pull through, is particularly scary.
The greed-driven football media will not change its stance till a player has his career destroyed by Covid or someone in the game dies. This crisis has shed a lot of light on people's characters. Some people have stepped up while others, like the racist tabloid reporters who despise our owner and that leech Gary Neville, have shown their true colours. They have chosen their position in the cesspit.
I would be proud of City if they withdrew from playing matches and gave up the points till they can guarantee the safety of all our staff. Someone has to show some leadership.

It won't be the Premier League, that's for sure

Can anyone point me in the direction of the premier league rules stating if you have 14 fit players you must play the game.

Thought this was an unwritten rule and the premier league would look at it case by case but every other fan and wankstain journalists are taking this as gospel

I just watched BBC national and local news both truncated. The former quoted the new figures and that tiers might be changed tomorrow and that the effect Christmas had yet to be assessed.
NW news had a story that the Rochdale club doctor thought football should be cancelled and other lower league clubs were having matches postponed. Then it mentioned Citys match was cancelled 'at the last minute' with that sounding more critical than informative. No mention in either bulletin about how playing on adds extra potential for spreading the disease and also adds to the perception of many that it is not so important to follow the rules.
It strikes me that if say a footballing Knight of the Realm, vulnerable through age and hospital admission, were to speak out against the folly of playing, it might carry some weight. But with new year parties due very soon, that ain't going to happen.
You mean a certain pissed up Scottish person?

He's only ever given a fuck about himself.

Would l say such a thing?

If BFS admits to being concerned at 66 l am sure GPC is more of a risk at 78 with a recent hospitalisation and must have some concerns himself. But l don't think he will condemn the current madness. His retainer terms might forbid it.

No matter what Mr Allerdyce or anyone else says there is no way they are going to suspend football now that their two darlings are first and second in the league!! Forget the people being affected by this flaming disease all that matters to them is their special teams!!

Cynical moi? Nah...... just realistic.

Stay safe. take care everyone.

That's true. I can see us playing chelsea and rags game. BRILLIANT!

Covid has killed nearly as many UK citizens as the blitz in WW2. The country is on its knees. You wouldn’t think it given the attitude of those in charge and the sporting press. Self interest and nothing else. They should hold their heads in shame and made accountable.
Just 438 people under 60 with no underlying health conditions have died of Covid in England.

In comparison during 2019, 955 under 60s died on England's roads.

The country is on it's knees (economically) because we have failed to grasp the point that if you are under 60 with no underlying health conditions Covid poses very little risk.

If people over 60 or with underlying health conditions don'r count, then Harold Shipman was innocent.

How can you possibly deduce from my post that people over 60 don't count?

I'm proposing that we take a different approach whereby the protection of the vulnerable and over 60s is prioritised. Google 'Great Barrington' declaration and see if that makes any sense to you.

Now tell me how many under 60s have underlying health issues - obesity (on its own is around 30% of the adult population) and asthma must account for a significant proportion. Also 100% of them can spread it.
