Everton (A) | Game Postponed

So Everton get full transparency and it says 8 first team players have test positive will they say well you have 17 other players it should of been played then papers pick it up and go with it and it’s more shit. When in fact if 1 first team player has tested positive the whole squad are at a threat of getting it so positive should mean the whole squad should be isolating for at least 2 more tests per person with 3 days.

They were told FOUR HOURS before. As I said the issue here is health and safety.
I agree.

Health above all else and the correct decision was made.

However, if I was a business expecting to meet another business and there was a medical reason why that meeting could not go ahead, I’d prefer to be told as soon as humanly possible before I make arrangements and travel to that meeting.

Everton don’t just unlock the gates at Goodson an hour before kick off.

Or maybe it was due to a matchday being planned which involves police (albeit a smaller scale) security, catering, stewards, fans, club staff, the players all probably at or on their way to Goodison preparing for the game when the club was just informed it was called off.

Maybe if we were involved, we could have planned for a postponement, or sided with city and agreed it earlier so we could prevent all of the above. The club are well within their right to be informed of something that affects them
In the grand scheme of things, the costs are negligible
If you were planning on a 30,000 crowd then that is totally different

And considering an Arsenal player is now positive it opens up the possibility he was infected by coming into contact with City player

And that would be reasonable.

However, Everton should know exactly who has Covid, when were the Prem informed, under what basis has the decision been made, has the protocol been broken and why etc.

Basically, Everton should know everything there is to know and shouldn't have to request it. I can't see why this is an issue with anyone?
I cannot for the life of me imagine that the Prem called Everton:
'Hello Everton, Prem here'
'Hi Prem'
'Bad news, game off'
'Why ?'
'Five City players have tested positive'
'So?'
'Can't say any more'

Surely the Prem would have said to Everton 'There is a very real risk that the virus could spread quickly assymptomatically amongst the 22 on the pitch.'

That has always been the case before GDPR, and GDPR actually longer applies in the UK from Friday, but thankfully we have the GPA 2018 still holding up data processing integrity.
GDPR will continue to apply in the UK - yes even after Brexit.

Completely missed the point. Correct call was made. The way it was made is in question

Agree, I honestly dont understand why some people are getting all twisted about it and taking it to heart.
I “completely missed the point”? Fucking hell pal there’s a killer pandemic virus out there, several of our players and staff are infected with it, and some people are moaning about only being advised about it four hours before the kick off. Yes I am definitely the one completely missing the point.
