Everton (A) | PL | Post Match Thread

I said before but I had the feeling City were playing at 80% because their minds were on the Club World Cup.

Looking at how much it meant to the players, staff etc it clearly meant alot.

It's a huge thing to win in terms of marketing and the club being seen worldwide.

Hopefully with that behind us we can now go 100% in all games

The media will always throw red meat to United fans. They use them for ratings and clicks. I just chuckle to myself when they run with United DNA, United in Crisis, United the most in form team. They just are just dangling the raw chicken for the alligator.

I don't find the US broadcasts to be anti-City. There just isn't a lot of incentive to portray an anti-City message to US audiences.
Agree with this. No overt anti city bias. But a lot of red arse licking

I had no idea there was a controversy surrounding the penalty. Anyone that thinks that wasn’t a penalty is a fucking moron.
The only controversy was with the pundits. It was clear as daylight for all else.
He was running with his arms in an unnatural position sideways making himself bigger, and then when he goes down, he keeps one arm sideways to continue making himself bigger and moves the other in the direction of the ball as it came at him. Nothing natural about what he did. It was very clear that his intent was there to make himself bigger. Had the ball been a foot in any other direction you would have found his arm there too.
I rewatched the penalty a dozen times because of said "controversy". Intent was obviously there, anyone saying otherwise is a red top cartel lover.

The same twats who were complaining for almost 5 minutes about the penalty. Hosted by Rebecca Lowe who started the show with a wankfest around how "Man United channelled their traditional DNA yesterday"
Rebecca Lowe hides her bias pretty well, but every now and then it comes through.
I remember when cancelo's home was burgled and he was attacked. She throws out that he was "allegedly a victim of a crime".
A little while later, When I think it was Bruno from the scum had his home burgled and he wasn't even present, it was quite the opposite. There was no "alleged" in her comments. It might as well have been, our hearts go out to him in these difficult times. It must weigh heavy on his mind. Surprised he's playing and all that.
I don't like how she feeds the answers to robbie mustoe, robbie Earle, and Tim Howard in her questions. Mind you, I still prefer them over the sky redtop wankfest.

Agreed. Rebecca is a Palace fan apparently but she does blow a lot of smoke up united's arses.

I re-watched the second half twice now and I am convinced we wouldn't have made that come back with Haaland up front. The amount of pressure and fast sprints Phil, Bernardo, Jack and Julian particularly were exerting on Everton was like the 'old' City. And on top of that we were able to make overloads left, right and center, I don't remember when was the last time we had so many cut back attempts. Pep will need to make some serious decisions.
