bar the villa game, who has actually outplayed us, injury time equalisers to palace, spurs and chelsea and the usual piss poor decisions against the dippers, this is exactly how good we are that because we havent won every game u dont see us doing it but look at the bigger picture

That's a fair point. I suppose most of my trepidation comes from how leaky we currently look at the back.

Stones looked like he hurt his ankle just before he put the challenge in. Looked very unfortunate and guessing he will be out for a few weeks again. I think Ake was playing them onside so Stones needed to make the challenge to make sure we didnt need VAR.

Not convinced by the performance, though.

Nunes is absolutely woeful.

The performance was very good overall. A stupid mistake or two (again) cost us a goal and rocked the boat for a bit but City came back strong and demonstrated why they are champions.

Nunes is not woeful but he does need time to become a “City player”.

It's also about digging in and getting behind the lads. Too many people on the Matchday thread are just incredibly quick to go from "Come on Blues" to "It's all fucked".

Was gutted when they scored....especially after Nunes' rubbish strike, but as soon as Phil scored it was only going one way.

Arsenal are pretty fucking good IMO, I have to say. I agree that Liverpool isn't as good as their record indicates, though.

They are decent but at our best we are better

This is not criticism.... Foden was anonymous the first half. The second... Wow. The team know patience is the key. Wear them down and then kill them

All the players seemed to gain belief the longer that second half went on. Foden went up several levels but once Kovacic got to the pace of the game he was impressive for example.

Hopefully onwards and upwards.

Good opportunity with only a couple of league games until end of January by which time should have some players back. Reports of our demise appear to have been greatly exaggerated!!
