By the rules its a penalty - no question.

A lot of old school fans would look at it however and say "not in my day" and if you are old enough you know what they mean.

But by the rules of the game today its a nailed on penalty

Second half was a proper Phil Foden performance. Forget this tippy tappy bollocks or trying to hit shots with the outside of his boot or put top spin on and all that fuckin bollocks, no, ball out of his feet and boom, back of the net, pick the ball up deep and run into space, no one can get close enough to even foul him. That was a performance KDB would have been proud of. Bernardo’s finish was a thing of beauty, it really was. Still a lot of tired brain farts, maybe that’s to be expected but second half was a true relentless prove the doubters wrong performance.

You know all of arrivals were licking their lips when they saw us down 1.

A mate of mine who’s an Arsenal supporter before the game was very much hoping we drop points, and we know that away at Everton has been a problem as I can certainly recall.

To come back and perform the way we did shows the character that I recall winning us the titles in the past.

it also speaks to what we heard some of our fans bring up as a possible benefit underestimated to the importance of the club World Cup and winning it (rather empahtically - even the last match I think against a club so determined to win is maybe more valuable than we realise):

- Building confidence for the players coming into this match after a poor runner form

- A short respite in warm weather, that some of our players might’ve enjoyed to get away from the UK and the media and cold, especially for our players from warm climates who always dream of sunny Spain.

Should never be a pen for me. The only unnatural position for an arm to be when playing football and moving is flat down by your sides.

But the law is a mess and under the current guise its the correct decision…. Needs to change tho imo
