Everton (A) | PL | Post Match Thread

Not sure what most of you watched.

Thought we played really well. Good level of control, good work rate, looked like they wanted it.

Superb goal by O’Reilly his movement was superb and tbf he had no right even being in the box as a full back.

Best I’ve seen Nunes play. I might even start warming to him if he carries on like that.
Was absolutely bored shitless for the most part watching it and we should have been behind. Played well for the last 20 minutes and Doku was good to watch when he came on.

Get in City good win that today as it looked like it may have gone the other way. Shout out to Doku he changed the game once he came on going direct at them.

A really good win, and that is ALL that counts right now.
Gvardiol was outstanding.
Kev showed that he can have brilliant games, and moments, but cannot string it together game after game any more.
Doku is such a talent and made a big difference, hogging the touchline and forcing them back, doubling-up to cope with his dynamism.
Everton are big, strong, athletic and well organised - a tough team to beat.

It was awful for 85 mins but at this stage of the season, it’s all about the points. That’s a huge win and we really should push on and qualify for the CL now.

Couldn’t watch, sounds like the performance was similar to what we’ve seen for much of the season. But not at all arsed, it’s a big result - 6 points from Palace and then Everton away is great at this stage. Beat Villa on Tuesday and we should be set to see it through.

Doku burned them so easily, it's all we needed, they wanted to double him instantly and it creates more dpace elsewhere. Kova definitely has a place as a driver in the side, just never the 6 please.

Fantastic result against an Everton side that is difficult to beat. Defensively we look a lot more solid and Dias and Gvardiola seem to compliment each other.

However up until about 70 mins we offered very little going forward and the tempo and build up play was far too slow. Thankfully the introduction of Kovacic and Doku changed things. Big shout out to Nico O'Reilly who has slotted in really well at left back and currently is one of our stand out players.

Ortega saved us tow times, otherwise we would be one or two goals behind.

O’Riely is a great player going forward, fantastic but defensively he is not.

Pep made correction to the selection by introducing both Kova and Doku.
Maybe Pep will one day play big O in his natural position, he is definitely good enough and has that rare quality, goals
