Everton (A) | PL | Post Match Thread

Agreed.

We've had a lot of very good second halves recently to be fair, tonight wasn't one of them, but the recovery from 1-3 was good.

That 2nd half tonight feels like a loss, but also a very good lesson to bank for the future

The future very much looks bright.
We really should not be in a title race this season. We have far too many new players trying to understand the system and build a relationship with each other. It will come in time and City will win multiple titles again

It shown in those bad 2nd half's ? will need to learn how to kill the game off or build a better lead than 1.0 and think the job done. One mistake kills us and panic sets in ? Nobody gets hold of the game and settles the players down and before you know it, you're back chasing the game.

If the season ended right now, I would be very happy with the progress and silverware. But we still have 4 games to play and a FA Cup final, so it's not all gloom and doom
all depending if pep stays and no i dont believe he's off at end of season or who takes over yes we won two before pep so hopefully all good and just being there at end of season s

Obviously gutted it's 2 points dropped
But not a total surprise.
Were not top of the league because we consistently cant play two decent halves of the same match.
I said at the start of the season I would take 3rd place and a Wembley trip so in my mind were doing fine.
Hopefully Doku knows where the goals are now he scored a brace.
Defending like that is criminal but were Man City we fight till the end. CTID

When Pep leaves, it will hurt, but we mustn't think it's the end and go under
Manchester City will remain a major club that wins silverware and will still be a great club to play for

Pep will never be a treble winner again or a 3 or 4 multiple title-winning manager again with City
That was something special and you only do once in a lifetime at Manchester City. He's built something special that the history books will say WOW

in the race for the title if feels like a loss
It could potentially turn out to be a valuable point, but as you said it does indeed feel like a loss.

I always felt that Everton away and Bournemouth away were fixtures that looked dangerous. More so tonight with an unavailable Rodri.

We need Arsenal to drop points, but in reality it looks really unlikely, West Ham, Burnley and Crystal Palace are all fixtures I think they'll win.

All we can do is hope unfortunately.

In three last day of the season victories to win the title v. QPR, Brighton away, and Villa City were top of the league going into the final day in all three. Same at Newcastle in '68. Have to play catch up this time. Be quite something to take a 2-0 lead against Villa on the final Sunday and have news come through that Palace have scored and arsenal are down to ten men.

If you'd been offered this position in October/November would it feel like a loss ?

I know what you mean. I was saying the same thing before the kick-off, Pep and the players would have bitten your hand off in October/November to be in the title race, That is why they will feel it's a loss tonight

We have been given 2 or 3 chances to kick Arsenal off the top of the table and build on it, but then we struggle to kill games off and have a 2nd half panic attack. Pep and City will say all the right things in the media and never wave the white flag and make Arsenal champions just yet

Yep

City will fight to the end and go again, plus the added bonus of the FA Cup final to win

Two domestic trophies in a season would be a fabulous season for us, for a team that's going through a serious rebuild its not too shabby at all.

The Rags are going through a 13 year rebuild and are still a million miles away. Our rebuild could potentially be 3 trophies.

I said all along I don't think we are ready just yet to win the league, we will be a different animal next season though, we'll win it by a canter next season.

what are you saying here? United fans may hate Arsenal more than us tbh
Nevermind whether the red cunts apparently hate each other or not, the red cunts with the whistle blow against us, PiGMOL is the red cunts supporters club.

**** Howard Webb leading the corrupt proceedings, cue Michael Olivarpool, Alty fan, et al toeing the ****'s line.

Pep knows it but won't say a it directly, today he subtlety said the game was english, there. But he also once said that we have to play in a way to put those bent cunts out of the equation.
