I remember playing Leeds in 1992 and Blackburn in 1995, knowing that if we won it'd give United an advantage in the title race. I had mixed emotions before the games, but as soon as the whistle went I was 100% behind City. Pleasingly, City won both games but United failed to win the title on each occasion!

I didn't before the Blackburn game as we were still in a relegation battle. Great day and night ( remember it was a bank holiday Monday) out and a welcome 3 points.

Bernardo has to start from the off tonight to drive the team on, sorry but I think Dave needs a rest.

Their lad who came on as a sub with 15 minutes or so left, at our place?

I hope to fuck he isn't playing. He ripped us to shreds on Walker's side and should have started.

Would like to see Sane back in the team and Bernardo in midfield, with Dave rested for Sunday.

From Guardiola's press conference, it sounds like Bernardo is a certainty to start tonight.

The game at our place this year the blue dippers were saying/spitting hope we don't let the red dippers win the league

They hate them as much as we hate the rags

Either way though the players have a point to prove for them tonight and they need points for their manager

Will take a stuffy 1-0 win all day long

Going to be a difficult game this. Everton will go very defensively hoping to hit us on the break.

I will take 0-1 right now.

Take our chances we win this game.
We can’t afford to miss too many from now on.

Cmon blues sterling needs his top of the league chant back. Iv missed singing that. Can even see Everton sing it if we win! Lol

Do you mean Calvert-Lewin?

I see this game as tougher than we think, they are desperate for a win. A strong team and strong start is a must.

After this and Chavs at the weekend we have a week off then Newport and then Schalke on the following Wednesday. So we should go all out in these two then a host of changes for the cup games.

Ederson
Walker
Stones
Otamendi
Laporte
Fernandinho
Bernardo
De Bruyne
Sane
Sterling
Aguero

Agreed. I'm not sure David gets in our strongest XI anymore. He's not been at his best recently, but even if he had I'm not sure you could argue against De Bruyne being our best midfielder and Bernardo becoming too important to drop, not just for keeping possession but for his incredible work ethic.

As for the rest of the team, I hope we go full strength but with the Chelsea fixture looming on Sunday I have a sneaky feeling we'll see Mahrez starting on the right with Sané and Jesus completing the forward line-up. Ederson, Stones, Laporte and Fernandinho pick themselves, the full-backs don't.

Stones didn't pick himself against Arsenal - but I would play him.

Incredible really that Everton are 10/1 for a home game. I'm sure this will be nowhere near as one-sided as the bookies think.
