But I'm merely stating the way it is.

I don't care and I enjoy it much but people make us out like we think were the dogs bollocks because they over hear a few lads bangin on about how MASSIVE we are in the pub or on the bus, so people think we'll go on a City forum and bang on about how small City are and how our club is bigger then theres blah blah blah snooze. I was watching City in Division 2 growing up with fans all around United, Liverpool, Everton even Stockport County for fucks sake giving me shit about how wank City are and that nothing will become of our club "yo yo team" we were called now we're finally showing the potential we've had for so long and been so unlucky with because of finance crisis (£5M club transfer record for Macken durin them times says it all) people want to take it away from us.

Well I suppose to clarify.. you are not as big a club as you fancy yourselves to be.

Reading this forum, you lot consider yourselves up there with the biggest most successful clubs in Europe.. Your hilarious transfer forum for fuck sake.

If you spend all day reading this forum you will find a few wild comments, this place attracts a lot of posters of all types.

If you think that's a majority view you're talking shit or on a deliberate wind-up.

I'm not sure you can use the term potential in this case though.. It's nothing that the club has done. It's all to do with your amazing bankroll.

Would have thought these dippers would be out robbing a car now, so that they can get to the game in time tonight.

But anyway, interesting letter in today's guardian about clubs buying success. Can't find it on the Guardian's web sit, but it goes something like this...

"I started following football in the early 1960's and well remember Everton being accused of "buying the First Division" in 1962-63. If I remember correctly, they were funded by the owners of a football pools company which allowed them to splash out on expensive players, Tony kay et al, for the astronomical sum of £30,000 each!"

They will be bragging now about buying the league before we tried it. Wonder if that's mentioned in their 'History' song?

Anyway, time to get my arse over to MaryD's...

I have no problem at all with fans of other clubs coming on here, even United fans, just aslong as they're not idiots. Darker Shade and Gwladiator seem like good guys. I love the people who act all "hard" when other fans come on here. You're like kids in school giving it the big one when someone new comes in.
