Thinking of taking my lad to Everton tomorrow, just a quick question to anyone who has been.

Would you say it is safe to take kids?? He is 8 years old.

Cheers

Just a warning, I'm planning on going so it's probably not safe to have kids their ;) 8 years old as well? any chance you could tell me where you're sitting? You can p.m the last bit if you wish, I wouldn't risk just anyone knowing where a yooung las is.
the wink just made that weirder

Lots of scaremongering as usual. Go there and don't take the piss and you'll be fine.

Nearly murdered there in the league cup in the late 80.s, but to be fair that was quite common then and almost expected. We were singing outside Lime Street Station

Never had any issues in merseyside since. Things have moved on unless you walk round asking for it you'll be fine. You could say that about anywhere on a Saturday night not just at a football match

I would be amazed if you see any trouble at Goodison nowadays unless you act like this idiot liverpool fan

he decided to drive his car down Gwladys St when Utd were leading 3-1 after 90 minutes , it finished 3-3 , He thought it would be funny to give some stick out .. :)
What a loser :) :D

You'll be absolutely fine dont listen to anyone who tells you otherwise. You're with a child you'll have no bother. Stanley Park is safe to park in but so is near enough anywhere else. Kirkdale isn't some 'no go' area like another Evertonian has said lots of people park in the streets around there and tbh there isn't many pubs there for people to give anyone grief!
If you was struggling to find a car park space there is a bingo car park that is huge and I dont think you get charged to park there. You'll see the Royal Oak on the corner (dont the road from the Park End) and then go down a road called Carrisbrooke Road after a few houses it is there you cant miss it.

Re: Everton Away and Kids (Update - We Went)

We ended up going and had a great day apart from the last 25mins and that shithole of an a ground. By far he worst I have ever been to for the away fans. We were right at the back of the lower tier and could not see the far side of the pitch without cowering down. Also, any time the ball went over cross bar level we had to watch the players to guess were it was going.

I thought the stewards and police were very polite and helpful also, and the cab drivers to and from the staduim very chatty and friendly.

Thanks to all for the advice.

The fact that the BlueDippers won always makes an exit from Goodison a little safer but after the match in full view of the tumbling hordes from the Gwladys, I grabbed by their throats the two EFC lads I took and sang 'Lescott's goin' to Wembley' and not a muff. If EFC get three points of a weekend Merseyside police know they're in fer a quiet week.
