Willy in for Hart.

Apart from that best team. we can put out against blue scouse who are always up for it against us.

This is their cup final and we need to make sure we match them for passion, desire and commitment. I can't be doing with 8k of them celebrating at our place so we need to box clever and play like we did at Sevilla. Win 3-1 and then ease our way to a comfortable 2-0 home win. Given the amount of games we have and will play maybe a midfield three of Fernando, Ferny and Delph in the first leg will suffocate them and allow Yaya a rest.

Some people seem to underestimate how well a professional player is able to cope with a 2-matches-a-week rhythm. They have learnt to listen to their body and manage their energy during a match. A rest could as well break their match rhythm not for good.
The coaching team is aware of all this and must be well prepared as the season plans have been fixed in summer. The physical situation of the squad is not bad at all. No need to rush the kids in as it seems. Keeping the team in a good mood is more important at this stage of the season. Pellers knows.

Furthermore nobody, nobody on here has got information about the physiological and mental state of any player, how fit they are, and how fit they feel. If I am wrong, let us please share your wisdom. The coaching and medical staff do know. They do see all the 1st team and EDS players in training every day.

Saying this, the reason for all the speculation about the lineup could be impatience, lacking ability to trust the boss, being just bored or pure arrogance.
The latter 2 are heavy sins and you will go to hell or become a rag once... ;-)

Looking forward to this match .

It will be nice to have 5000 at Goodison .

Last time time I did a cup match away was Liverpool in 2001

Just been speaking with an Everton fan. He mentioned that they have the worst home defensive record this season. If true then we need to go all out with a strong team. Let's attack like the Sevilla away. If we have this intensity to our play I am certain we will get a result. If we don't then at least we had a go.

The worst thing will be if someone picks up an injury. You can guarantee Pellegrini will be castigated for "risking them unnecessarily". You don't rest players or blood kids in the semi final of a cup competition.

I'd like to see some youth players involved against Norwich, but I'm not holding my breath. We've got an almost fully fit squad now, and Pellegrini will look to utilise it, rightly or wrongly.

That's why I'm sure managers don't give a hoot what fans think, because if a good player picks up an injury he's castigated, but if he leaves him out and we lose he's castigated. And if he plays him and we win he's castigated for not giving the centre forward for the under 11s "a chance".

Norwich is a tough one to call. The club of course would have liked somebody shit at home so they could have given game time to fringe players, but it is a hard game. I think you are right: there will be some rotation and games given to the likes of Clichy, Fernando, Zab, Bony etc. And probably a few kids on the bench. I think that would be the right call, personally. Silverware is the absolute priority this season.
