Just a quick reminder that he came to us as defensive midfielder, having played centre back a few times at Barca, so he's actually quite good at it, but he can't do it if he's not in our half, so long as he knows what role he's playing he's pretty good defensively.

Well if it's 2 against 1 in both cases, you'd expect the defences to come out on top.
On a serious note, i think Mangala will enjoy this physical challenge.

He is better than their 1st choice according to everton fans. Playing Willy when Norwich away is coming up is a risk we shouldn't be taking.

I was confident until I found out caballero was starting. I'm all for giving players a crack in the cups and I think there should be a rule to field atleast 4 youth players in the starting 11 for all league cup games....but having willy in net for this game has made me nervous

I'm one of theo positive ones! 1 clean sheet in his career with City & that was against Sheffield Wed at home - makes mistakes every time he plays & makes our already nervous defence even more so. Hopefully we can out score them tonight as I don't expect a clean sheet - waste of a squad place should have Gunn in there
