Manchester City will be without Argentine strike duo Sergio Aguero and Carlos Tevez for the trip to face Everton at Goodison Park (kick-off 12.45pm).
Aguero has failed to recover from a knee injury and will continue his recovery with his national team ahead of the World Cup qualifiers against Venezuela and Bolivia, while Tevez has tight hamstrings.
Vincent Kompany is not expected to be fit either, having missed the last seven matches with a calf injury.
The champions will also be without Jack Rodwell, whose hopes of playing against his old club were ended when he limped off against Aston Villa earlier this month with a recurrence of a hamstring injury.
Everton are still without first-choice goalkeeper Tim Howard with a back problem, so Slovakian stand-in Jan Mucha will continue to deputise.
Phil Jagielka is also out with an ankle problem and will see his place taken by John Heitinga.
Tony Hibbert will miss out with a calf injury, meaning Seamus Coleman keeps his place at right back.
