Re: Everton Vs City Pre Match Discussion Thread

Two good reasons to be confident

1) Tevez is back
2) Milner - his game has gone up another level. Every time I see him play I'm really impressed.

Think Milner, Silva, Yaya Toure, Tevez

This could be a really difficult game as Everton were humiliated by Wigan, and will respond. But no one is better placed to deal with them

I think Kompany and Lescott will be back together for this too. Everton will go very direct for this

Re: Everton Vs City Pre Match Discussion Thread

We never get anything when we play at Everton but with Tevez playing well i think we can get 3 points. Would be happy with Lescott playing Saturday with Vinne if fit

Re: Everton Vs City Pre Match Discussion Thread

They're in no sort of form at all. The opposite of most seasons where they start off slowly and finish strongly. I think that they're not quite together at the moment. Moyes looks like his motivation to keep treading water is diminishing as it seems are some of the better players eg Fellaini, jelavic. The 'Yaya finish the season like a train' effect is starting to kick in.

We WILL win!!

Re: Everton Vs City Pre Match Discussion Thread

This will be a real test for us. It's a very hard place to go and win at the best of times.

Re: Everton Vs City Pre Match Discussion Thread

Milne and tevez will start and honestly ppl keep saying they aren't expecting anything from this and they're a bogie team or w/e... fuck that. We're hitting a really good stride and tempo atm. Our defense looks great and our attack is starting to really link up well. We need the 3 points to keep pressure on those rag twats who look to be on the downturn.

We can win this game. Stoke away was our other bs fixture and we overcame that this year.

We're going to win this game. We're better and tevez won't allow us to.

Re: Everton Vs City Pre Match Discussion Thread

It adds nothing to the discussion, I know, but I hope we smash those bastards all over. Dislike them with a passion. A horrible club full of horrible fans.

Carry on.

We drew with Stoke this season. Beat them in the FA cup but that's different.

I admire your confidence. The reasons we struggle against this mob haven't gone away though. Whatever form they're in, this game has become their cup final. The small pitch plays into their hands and you can expect 8 men behind the ball at all times, and an aggressive midfield pressing the life out of Gaz Baz and Garcia, neither of whom is mobile enough to cope with it. A great pity Rodwell's not fit. I think I'd be inclined to drop Ya Ya back alongside Barry, and rest Garcia, and stick Kolarov and Milner out wide, with Silva in behind Tevez
