Everton Away

This match is half price, what is that about? Crystal Palace away at 4 o'clock on a Sunday is full price, Everton 40 minutes up the road is half price. That will almost certainly mean that people who would normally give a miss will decide to go at the expense of others. Looks like this will be the first time I've missed out on Everton away, the only positive is we always loose, I'll settle for missing it if we win!

I know loads of people that aren't going palace and were definitely on everton even before this was announced. last away of the season, closer to home. even if it was full price it would sell out very quick. so I don't see your point in people deciding to go now its cheap

Good gesture by the Club. The half price tickets helped the atmosphere vs Spurs and Fulham and will also do so at Goodison. Lets finish off this season aways with 3 points.

Hope that tw@t Clattenberg gets nowhere near this game.

Either way it's still a kick in the teeth for those of us who are actually bothering to slog it down the Palace, and went to Arsenal, and Chelsea, and Norwich etc etc. Got just shy of 10,000 points and am not hopeful! Been to 13 of the 17 aways so far this year...fucking gutted.

That's pretty much the same position I'm in, 9900 points. Don't expect to get a ticket for Everton and ok maybe that's because it's the last away of the season and not because it's half price. But I've never known Everton away start at that level of points and I've never struggled to get a ticket before. Plus, it still makes no sense to me bearing in mind the difference in travel costs between Palace and Everton.

It's just so frustrating when you've put the effort in and get knocked down at the final hurdle!! I'm not complaining about any supporters, more the way the club allocates tickets. Looking at it from our point of view, we're in the 'fortunate' position to be able to get tickets for 95% away games on our own tickets...those with lower points will never, ever have a chance, thus encouraging the 'points whoring'. It's a vicious circle!

Fixed that for you.

So far this season:

8 away games didn't sell out
8 games went to general sale/blue card members and then sold out
3 games sold out to seasoncard holders with less than 1000 points

which, if you are a seasoncard holder means you could have got to 19 games in total with less than 1000 points!

those on lowest points could have caught up with those above them on 19 occasions

Yeah I agree with that, I'm talking about catching up those with the massive points, say 10k+. Don't get me wrong, if you want to be in with a shout for any game you need to put the effort in, and those with lower points clearly either can't be arsed, can't afford it or haven't been members that long.

For people like me who have a lot of points, but not quite enough for United (or Everton so it would seem), it's annoying to miss out. But hey ho, what can you do?

I do like that you keep a track on when the tickets sell out as can be very helpful in judging when certain fixtures will sell out...

However, say if someone on lower points did go to those 19 games, i bet they would try everything to do the 'big' games, hence allowing a market for those on higher points to sell on there tickets if they wish to do so.

The question for those on lower points is do you wait for a ticket on your own points and risk it being sold out, or do you buy one when one comes available? Therefore it being a vicious circle.
