Everton discussion 2016/17

So what do we think of signing Kone, Bony, Williams and Bolasie?

A tad overpriced, surprsing there's no players signed outwith the Premiership.
The best one signing for them there is Kone. Bony is too similar to Lukaku and they only play one up top anyway. Bolasie lacks end product a lot of the time don't think he's scored more than 6 in a season. Williams is alright but not all that great imo

Everton were about as effective under Martinez as we were under Pellegrini.

It may at seem a strange thing to say but I don't think losing Stones will have as much impact on them as buying him will have on us. They've got the basis of a really solid squad and Koeman should get more out of them. Top 4 is a big, big ask though but they should be challenging for a top 6 spot.

Williams will be an excellent short term signing for them. According to reports they've tabled a £17 million bid for Kone but, unless there's an unknown reason why they want rid, I can't see why Sunderland wouldn't hold out for a great deal more given the way Everton have dealt with the Stones transfer. Bony would be a great signing for them if they accept a bid for Lukaku but they seem determined to play hard ball with Chelsea. That seems to be defining Evertons transfer window and, whilst they might have done us for a few million more than we wanted to pay, they've already paid more for Williams than they wanted and will probably have to do so for anyone else they want.
Long term for Everton they need a new stadium. They appear to get shafted by the council at every opportunity and tbh I feel sorry for them in that regard particularly as Liverpool seem to get all the help they need. I hope they find somewhere in the near future that suits their needs and suits the fans. It would be nice to go to Everton away and actually be able to see all the pitch.

the initial hype around moshiri has settled now and this pre season we are no different than any other. selling 2-3 of our top players to bring in 4 or 5 lesser players. attracting top players will not happen overnight and we need to at least get in the top half of the table and the lack of a new stadium will hamper any progress. a good start is essential and can see us struggling again this season.

I always thought there was more hype than the facts seemed to justify but its made a huge difference having a good manager. You've always had the potential to be a top six side but it's never really been realised. That's why Sheikh Mansour was interested in buying you.

Moyes made you hard to beat but never really showed he could make you an attacking force. Martinez was fucking useless and why Kenwright appointed him I'll never know. But Koeman has added what Moyes never really managed to so I think you'll do well.

Probably had something to do with Wigan beating us in the FA Cup final, which glossed over the steadily declining fortunes of Wigan in the Prem. Perhaps our loss was also Everton's?

I think Koeman could turn into a world-class manager. I am hugely impressed by what I have seen so far from Everton. They do not have much depth in the squad but the first-choice 11 could challenge for the top four if they avoid injuries. They look better than Leicester did at the same stage last year.

An Everton fan I know suggested our match in a couple of weeks could be a title decider. I think he was only half joking

You know, I'm not particularly fond of Everton, but since it looks like the other dippers are going to have a decent season I'd love to see these fuckers finish ahead of them in that season, just to put pressure on that cheesy arse kissing fucker.
