Off to Wembley again - just added the Cup win -https://www.rtfract.com/LDgames4.html
I thought I’d heard that but thought no it can’t beDid anybody notice the stadium announcer when de bruyne scored he said Manchester United, what a bell end.
Can you imagine? ... *drools ...The team was crying out for him today, with Grealish,Bernie and Phil running riot alongside.
I had Ancelotti up there with the best but was so disappointed with his tactics yesterday. Negative, overly physical with Richarlison again highlighting all that is bad in modern football, ironically there is a great player in there if he just played to his strengths dropped the dark arts crap. Delighted we beat them particularly after their classless press release following the cancellation of our premier league match following our COVID outbreak.I’m sorry I just can’t agree with that. Everton‘s master plan was to play 5 at the back and use Calvert Lewin and Richarlason on the break, to try and win free kicks and throw ins and load the box with their 3 massive cbs. They where absolutely shite, they offered nothing offensively, when they got the ball they just hoofed it to literally no one. if I was an Everton fan I would be fuming today. They have spent a lot of money on that team it’s not like we where playing Cheltenham (who incidentally caused us more problems)
Graham Potter is a manager who I would say sets up a team brilliantly, when we played Brighton it was a tough game they where always a threat on the break able to pass through our press at times, same as villa under smith and Leeds earlier on in the season. Three sides who have spent a lot less than Everton but caused us some problems defensively and gave us a real tough game. If your main tactic is to try to keep city out for 120 mins you are going to lose it’s that simple
Got nothing against ancelotti but his tactics yesterday made mourinho look like Pep Guardiola
I don't see how Haaland fits into our system at the moment.
I watched MotD last night as we were on first. Three people were booked during the game but the wankers at the BBC thought fit only to show one of the three - Ferny! It's laughable. Just goes to show I was right about the BBC footy coverage - partial to a sky blue card!
Absolutely....he’s maturing very well (apart from the odd press boo boo) his positional play is so much better this season, his decision making & game awareness has improved immensely, gone are the brain farts, and now that he understands how Pep wants him to play he’s really flourishing, I can’t remember the last time I groaned when his name was on the team sheetAt long last it’s great to see Zinny getting the praise he deserves. For me he always plays in our best starting line up. He’s so underrated and yet he just keeps us ticking over and moves the ball so well.
It had the feel of a game we could lose. We weren’t our strongest team and weren’t at our best. We used to lose these games through set pieces or breakaways but these days we don’t. We stayed strong and resolute, and the subs were all it took to win the game.
