Everton (H) | PL | Post Match Thread

I think people need to rein in their expectations for Bobb when he returns. Yes, he looked great in pre-season and scored the winner vs Newcastle last season but it's not a huge body of work to go on and he's missed 4-5 months of football, so it'll be like him starting a pre-season in January all over again. We need a spark but Bobb needs to be eased back in carefully.
I agree with you and - though it's not the thread for it - it should also be said that, when Rodri comes back, there's a reasonable chance that he'll struggle with his fitness and/form at least in the first few months. We may never see the same Rodri we had for the last 3 seasons. That's why, imho, we should go all out to sign the very best replacement that we can; a Rodri clone, and not a Kova type understudy. Then, over the next 6 months, get 4/5 other world-beaters on top to replace our fast-fading stars.

Well pep must have watched a completely different game to me, if he thinks we played "really good", then we are in bigger shit than we thought, there is just nothing there anymore, we don't look like scoring, we don't create many chances, no little 1-2s, no give and go's, thought Everton were very comfortable yesterday
Same old meaningless platitudes after every game, it's getting borderline insulting now.

Have Bernardo and Gundogan come out yet and said they "must do better" and "try harder"?

Anyone heard from our club "captain" recently or is he still hiding under a desk in the dressing room?

I'm getting a bit worried...

@argyle doesn't appear to have been on to assure everyone that there's no need for concern yet.

Can someone ring his nurse?

He's having his stomach pumped mate, he's been sinking 20 pints of this every match and over done it.

Not the best of games but we didn't play bad at times. Needless to say we really do look average though in comparison to the past few seasons. I see returning players improving us but I don't envisage a major upturn in form or performance levels any time soon.
