Granted we're not winning the title but I think it's a tad premature to talk about missing out on the CL Places.

What he said to the press and what he really thought are likely to be two different things.Well pep must have watched a completely different game to me, if he thinks we played "really good", then we are in bigger shit than we thought, there is just nothing there anymore, we don't look like scoring, we don't create many chances, no little 1-2s, no give and go's, thought Everton were very comfortable yesterday
We were five minutes away from getting rid of an evil spirit a few weeks ago but we collapsed and gave it three points. The problem isn't Pep and it isn't the players, there is an intangible that isn't there. I'm not one to believe in bullshit but this almost seems like a bad mojo/juju situation. If I'm Pep I'm bringing in an exorcist and getting rid of whatever evil spirit has invaded the Etihad.
Let's bloody hope soWhat he said to the press and what he really thought are likely to be two different things.
No you didn't you're just trying to be a smart ass. Anyone that watched a whole game without realising someone was on the pitch is either blind or pissed.Only just realised Foden played today...

As things stand we have to make up five points on Arsenal; plus whatever they get v Ipswich tonight, or six points on Forest if Arsenal win. That's over 20 games so is far from impossible, but has anybody seen anything over the past thirteen games that suggests we can do it? Earlier in the season we were winning but were far from convincing. There are zero signs whatsoever that this team is capable of getting anywhere near the top 4.
The Maine Road witches curse has followed us. The curse resides in the medical dept. The problem isn't Pep and it isn't the players, there is an intangible that isn't there. The CWC income has been known about for a while and probably already earmarked for strengthening the squad. Progress in the CL was probably also expected. That's just nonsense. There is enough in the pot already to finance a rebuild and any CL deficit next year, if it happens which I don't think it will, will be largely compensated by the CWC income. There is no financial problem financing a rebuild, although no CL may affect the quality of players the club can attract.
