Everton (H) | PL | Post Match Thread

That performance was a fucking disgrace, at least those booing at the game were there.

Absolute shite again, this was against a fucking woeful Everton, and they should have beaten us.

I say it a lot lately but what the fuck is Pep saying at half time?

We did enough that first half to be 2 or 3 up but weren't. They get in our Box once and fucking score.

Second half I don't know what the hell that was

Savinho, had a bright half hour but his decision making is terrible.

Disappeared second half apart from the penalty Assist, which we missed.

Doku, Jesus Christ. I've supported him but that today, lazy and careless.

Whoever signed off the deals for Doku, Savinho, Nunes, Alvarez, Palmer needs shooting (metaphorically). If it was Txixi then no wonder he's off.

Pissed off with that shite,
Wtf we played good some really good football today and today our crowd turn on them. I was also there., I’m not entitled I back this team win lose or draw and believe me I’ve seen some shit over the years both home and away there again I’m old skool

Wow, you really think we played some good football today? Are you sure you’re there?!

I think this is where sentiment gets the better of many of us. We tend to see the 'possible' glimpses of genius he might still bring vs the 'likely' increasingly rapid decline. He will be difficult to replace but every great must be replaced and recently we've managed to do so fairly well. I'm still mourning the loss of Peter Barnes and Gary Owen!

Ultimately if we are going to remain a top tier champions league contender status we need to be recruiting the very best of world talent on the rise or at their peak. Not on the decline. If we are lucky enough to have a Ronaldo type exception who is still delivering, then sure, make an exception, but I feel if we are being honest with ourselves, Kev isn't delivering often enough to qualify for that very rare exemption. We can visually see the loss of pace and fragility.

He will always be a City great. I'd rather let him go with some dignity.
This is it, we need to be bringing in the best of world talent, but it's clear that the board is not doing that. We're actually doing the opposite, we need to be getting onto the transfer committee's back not Kev.

Kev has created the most chances in the league this season and he's barely played, we can't expect him to deliver when the team has been decimated by injuries, honestly we can't use his sub-appearences to judge him, by the time he comes on We're already a mess, either We're losing or frantically chasing an equaliser, we took Kev off 3-0nil up against Feyenoord and drew 3-3, we need to question Peps tactics as much as Kevs lack of impact, all in all let's wait until the end of season to write him off at least. For me Kev wouldn't put in worst than that piss poor performance from Phill today.

Why do fans have a right to boo? Today I paid to watch a football match and I got what I paid for. Just because I paid my money does not mean I am entitled to see a win.
There was no lack of effort today. It was a lack of quality with the players being half a yard to slow physically and half a second too slow, mentally.
What exactly will booing the players achieve? How is that going to help us, going forward?
Because the UK is a free country ?

Probably a build up over 13 games or so , you are right no one is entitled to a win and we have been spoilt in that regard but we deserved it because we bought in the right personnel and worked harder than others to maintain our place as the best side in England and dare I say smarter which we haven't done on and off the field as well in more recent times.

Now the tables have turned but supporters still expect us to beat the likes of Everton , Crystal Place , Bournemouth , Manure at home etc and we are in our worst run in living memory it seems so the boos are hardly surprising and will only get worse if results continue as they have.

Its a results business and Pep and the players are judged by results and right now the jury is not on our side and rightly so.
