Everton (H) Post Match Thread

You’re entitled to your opinion obviously, however I just think you’re plain wrong. The guy was quite rightly talked about as being the best right back in the Prem last season, and one of the best in Europe.

Of course he’s not got the best technical ability, of say a Dani Alves, but generally he is an awesome defender with pace to burn that saves us plenty of times.
well said. bear in mind also that Walker actually wants to play for us. Alves is a jumped up midget up his own arse.

I don't for the life of me see why anyone gives a fuck about "empty seats". it was pretty full bar half time when I think every man and his dog went on the concourse. it was fucking freezing.

The crowd was great today .

Thought we were poor, think they had more clear cut chances than we did, they just missed them.

Don’t know what’s going on at the moment. Our worst form for a few years. The good thing is, we aren’t playing well but we’re not dropping too many points with our three best players to come back from injury

Each to their own but if I can offer you some advise

Get your mushrooms from Asda or Tesco and not those in your garden

To be honest, it's an opinion I've been forming for a while and just happened to vent on this thread.

I think he's just very average if I'm honest, injured or not. He doesn't have anything like the technical skill of the players around him. I am not expecting every player to be like David Silva, but Walker's ability to control the ball in tight spaces is leagues below the rest of our team; he has bugger all vision and panics every time he runs forward, inevitably picking the wrong pass and/or overhitting it. I am not his biggest fan, let's just say that.

Think you are being too harsh. Not saying that there isn't room for improvement from Walker but its his concentration he needs to improve. He has a tendency to sloppiness during games.

Totally agree, a good attendance today, quite understandable, it's been mentioned many times regarding the roof cover. Doesn't help much when the hospitality clan watch it inside !
We did tell him (the Australian architect who designed it)

We always looked like we had another gear that saying Everton didn't turn up for the first 70mins but with better finishing late on could have got something that's the only worry for me we are conceding alot of chances especially from crosses into the box. Otamendi had a great season last but he's a liability the goal was his fault he's like a headless chicken at times thought Leroy looked a bit tired nice to see Jesus get 2 I said in the pre match thread a run of games will do him good.

Good win against a very dangerous opponent. Jesus has had a woeful time in front of goal recently, but well done today. Two well taken goals and unlucky not to have a hat trick. Leroy 2 assists, surprisingly subbed again. Glad to see KDB back and glad Sergio wasn’t required.

Still got all my layers on and I've been home for 4 hours, thought it was a routine 2nd gear win which given injuries, champs league and stupid kick off time was better than I feared. Think Kev will give us a lift and help us kick on, Back to the hot toddy!
