Everton (H) Post Match Thread

I thought we took it too easy today,we could of gone up a few gears and absolutely battered them, but we let them have a few chances of there own and could of got punished, decent display in the end.

This stage of the season we just need to do enough. Red Dippers struggled to beat Everton, Spurs lucky to beat Burnley, and we are coasting and saving energy. Those gears will be used in February/March!

Yes, we haven’t played this poorly for two years. Nowt wrong with saying it. But even simple passes we can be making are either undernhit or overhit. Just not ourselves since the first half at West Ham.
We didn't hit the heights we are capable of but we were without a lot of players and had just played a difficult game on Wednesday so I would say that was a really good result for City.

Return to fitness of David Silva, KDB and Aguero will help. As will a bit of rest for Sane and Sterling

both teams made a number of unforced errors, from misplaced passes, slow to control the ball and a few mis-timed tackles, which imho reflected the conditions, mainly the strong and unpredictable wind. Everton are a big powerful team, playing to a plan, but our pressing had them in trouble It was in the last minute they had their first corner, so, yes they missed a couple of chances, but were never dominating, After all the champagne football we have been privileged to watch, a bottle of newcie brown now and then does no harm.
Picking out individuals and criticising them is the blood of the match-day forum, in fact, if the word "shit" was banned, some posters would be missing from the thread altogether. No-one wants that, just so predictable

Love that mate !!
Thought our pressing and getting the ball back quickly was some of the best we've done all season.10 secs ? more like 5 sec today. Overall we got away with some bad finishing from Everton but theres no doubt we deserved the win.

Thought we were poor, think they had more clear cut chances than we did, they just missed them.

Don’t know what’s going on at the moment. Our worst form for a few years. The good thing is, we aren’t playing well but we’re not dropping too many points with our three best players to come back from injury
Fucking brilliant. You’ll catch a few.

"I don't know what's wrong with us", says notorious flapper after City beat bogey team 3-1 on a freezing cold Saturday morning without Sergio Aguero, David Silva, Benjamin Mendy and (mostly) Kevin De Bruyne
and Stonesy

Well I've just thawed out.
With so many missing that was a good win. Jesus worked so hard and deserved his goals. The defence tried their best to undo all his hard work.
Gundog did well and good to see kev back.
I need to win the lottery and get a friggin box. It was freezing.
Wrap up you soft arse, stop trying to look trendy !
