As long as he avoids playing Toure and Fernando in a 2 with Demichelis behind them we should be good for a win. Fernando and Delph or Toure and Delph (or possibly all 3).

On paper they are not although they do posses some quality players. I think what he means is that they amongst other teams this season have sussed out how to play us which on the day makes them our equal. This is down to our own failings rather than other teams being our equal or better. We all know what they are,we don't work hard or press teams enough without the ball, certain players stroll back when we lose possession and we have a defence that plays a system that leaves us wide open at the back.

This has been a strange season. On the whole we have looked out of sorts but we are still in contention for four trophies by some miracle.Well by a bit of luck,a few top performances and some individual magic pulling us through games we have been dogshit in,but I will take that. We now need to up our game from here on in and if we do and play like we can we could still have a great season at the end, which if we do will probably have a few of us looking back and wondering how the hell that happened lol!

This is obviously just his hyperbole, but it's laughable, even playing below par as we have for much of this season. We have played them twice at Goodison this year. We beat them comfortably in the league and then lost in the Cup in part because it was a two-legged affair and Pellegrini backs us to beat them at the Etihad. In the mean time they are mid table and we are 3pts off the top in addition to winning a tricky group in the CL. They are our equal in that we both play in the North West - that's about it.

This should be Delph's job and Fernando's. Although they don't seem to have sly/nasty enough streaks in them or they know MCFC players would never get away with it...

If Delph tried to crop anyone, he would end up tearing a hamstring, ACL and MCL all in one

We will concede so hope we have our scoring boots on

To be fair, we kept a clean sheet against both Leicester and Norwich - and if Sagna plays CB (which I think he will), i expect us to be more solid at the back.

I think mp believes demi and nico are good enough so i expect him to play them,up against Lukaco(spelling) no chance

He's a bit of a sly bastard, definitely. Sometimes think we could do with someone like that ourselves though. Someone not afraid of putting the boot in from time to time.
Difference is with the reffing we are in receipt of at the minute, our version would be semi-permanently banned.

I've decided that I really am less concerned with our formation or which personnel we play with as long as we play at a high intensity. When we play at a high tempo and move the ball quickly no one can live with us. Unfortunately too often this season we get into a pattern of slow passing in front of the opposition back four, making it too easy for defenders and makes it hard to get any runners in behind. Of course that makes Fernandinho a loss but he didn't play on Saturday and then went pretty well.

We could start the same XI as against Norwich and I'll be happy as long as we move the ball quickly.
