Everton (home) Semi Final Tickets

For the Premier league
38,000 of those are pre sold season tickets
4,000 away tickets
Which leaves 13,000 for open sale. Probably more like 11,000 because I haven't factored in corporate

Where as for a cup match the club has to sell 40,000 tickets to people who have all the reasons below not to attend

If people have already paid for their ticket (as in season card), they are far more likely to attend, but as we have seen in plenty of matches, some are not afraid of missing a game so when it comes to cup games that are on telly, midweek, at the end of Jan when peoples Xmas credit cards are being paid and the weather is likely to be shite, it's no wonder a lot will give it a swerve and watch it on the box
You only had to look over at the swamp last week to see that we're not the only ones who suffer a lower attendance for televised cup matches

The other thing is that there is a lot of football available
If for example theatre tickets are cheap, say £20, you wouldn't go every other Saturday and during a midweek. At some point you'd draw the line
42000 season tickets.

Just wrong - we need a 60000 seater stadium - we have filled 54000 many time this season. A good percentage of fans give the midweeks a miss for perfectly good reasons. If we have 60000 spaces more can come and watch us. Simple as that.

As long as people stop worrying about empty seats i can't see a problem with building it but it might only be full 4 or 5 times a season unless they radically change the match day pricing.

Because of the traffic issues , i have given recent night matches a swerve , after the Juventus and Palace home games , were i missed the first 40 minutes of both games , there are 4 of us who come by car , approx 30 miles away and it takes 15 minutes to cover the 1st 20 odd miles and over 2 hours to complete the last 5-10 miles to the stadium , (if we walked the last few miles , we would get there quicker.) It has nothing to do with the cost or the team or football club ,its the ridiculous traffic chaos created by the highways agency , the knobhead traffic police and the council , because i just have better things to do with my life than sit in traffic for over 2 hours , to watch a 90 minutes football match. When the capacity increases to over 60k , it will only get worse , i have more time to spare at weekends ,so it will be saturday and sunday games in the future, for me.

Nothing wrong with that. I still do CL and prem midweek but will prob bin the former next year. Alot of the time I just can't be arsed after working all day. I came by train last night but ended up costing me an extra £10 in taxi fares just to stay dry. Winter night matches are not very appealing.

Thought the sales for this were poor, but for some strange reason cannot now get on the website to buy extras ?

I checked earlier to see what sales were like and it was down but it had a cryptic note about them not being on sale to people from Merseyside.

I'm guessing Everton fans have been trying to buy our tickets and they are busy weeding them out before reopening sales.

There will be Everton fans all over the place that night.
