Everton in middle-east takeover?

In theory you're right but they couldn't fill the one they've got for the semi-final so not much chance of filling a bigger one. And like Liverpool's Main Stand extension, the loan would have to be repaid which means less for fees and wages.

Yeah like Arsenal paying back there stadium in about 10 years wasn't it, staying at Goodison Park though will stagnate them even more, better to bite the bullet build a 60k stadium and take their Medicine of Debt for 10+ years. Like most clubs though when they move to a new stadium they aka way get more fans.

One of the things which really pisses Everton fans off about City is the fact that we got a "free stadium". They were jealous of us before the takeover and absolutely apoplectic afterwards.

Middle Eastern investment - hmmmmmmm I recall them being somewhat disapproving of a certain other club getting outside investment from people who hail from the Middle East..... can't remember who though.

Still that clubs investment money was dirty I am sure they said so - I presume this money will be freshly ...ahem... laundered? No pun intended of course.

If there is any fans who deserve a takeover it is the very patient toffee fans.

Kenwright has ran the club on a shoestring budget for years and years relying on shrewd signings by Moyes and Martinez.

Very happy for Everton supporters to win the lottery. Maybe they can push and compete for top 4 now.
I have a bit of a soft spot for Everton. As a City fan, we see lots of common ground with Everton i.e. sharing a City with a more successful team in red with fans who have a bad gloating attitude about success.

Can't see Kenwright ever letting go. He's got a Messiah complex about Everton.

If I were an investor, I'd be buying Villa. Decent ground, big fan-base, owner desperate to sell and could easily be the biggest club in the region with reasonable investment.
This... although the idea of upsetting the red dippers and the rag/Dipper meeja does appeal

a lot of work still to be done but a massive step in the right direction for the club. any investment from anyone is better than the current stagnation and the initial impression would suggest he is in it for all the right reasons. as majority shareholder it will be in his best interests to make everything about the club better. stadium issue will be a massive hurdle but investment in the club was sorely needed as the opposite was unthinkable.

He's the major shareholder but not the majority shareholder as he only has 49.9% and not the 50.1% that would give him control. Still lots of questions to be answered but hope it works out for you.
