Evertonians might say they don't want Liverpool to win but come kick off Saturday night that ground is going to be as intimidating as it's always been. Just pray that Komps and MDM stay fit as last thing we want is Lescott opening that can of worms again, actually can we just hide Lescott under a blanket for 90 minutes please.

Most of the bad feeling about Lescott came from Moyes, who went on to try and get Baines and Fellaini on the cheap. Without him to wind things up I don't think it will be as intimidating.

Sit back and enjoy our last away game..............................YAYA was stupendous......

Absolutely this, once we step onto the pitch every Everton fan will be roaring them on. They will be up for it so an early goal (and a West Ham win against Spurs) would be useful. I don't think their heads would drop as such but if they were behind but need to beat us and win at Hull (and hope that Arsenal don't beat either West Brom or Norwich) it may just feel to much of an uphill struggle for them. Here's hoping anyway.

We need to keep on winning all our games then the title will be ours. As I stated before the Crystal Palace game, it is against the teams in the bottom 6 where we have come unstuck, by dropping 15pts against them, which is 5 more then Liverpool and at least 6 if nor more than Chelsea have dropped, against the same opposition. Got to win against Everton to put the pressure back onto both Chelsea & Liverpool, + hopefully win by a 2/3 goal margin as well.

I said somewhere before, it looks like Yaya has the bit between his teeth. That Palace game was the first time for a long time that he has made those gut busting runs from deep that completely bulldoze the opposition. He did it twice in one game!! I think his heart is set on carrying the team to the league. I hope so anyway!

"Distin, Distin, What's the score?"

7 May, 2011, - Everton 2 - 1 City

Distin scored.

Feel like I keep repeating myself but this game is like a cup final

If we win this I seriously think Liverpool will drop points at Palace on Monday

Much like the way I thought we would drop points at Palace if Liverpool had beat Chelsea

Psycholgical factors are huge in sport and I think we will strike a big psychological blow to them if we beat Everton

Im hoping Liverpool have been riding the crest of a wave and it was that which drove them on through games at what seemed super human effort.
Hopefully Sunday brought them crashing down to earth and they are now emotionally and physically wrecked.

Chelsea 1-2 Sunderland
Chelsea 2-2 West Brom
Aston Villa 1-0 Chelsea
West Brom 1-1 Chelsea
10 points dropped
Man City 2-2 Sunderland
Sunderland 1-0 Man City
Norwich 0-0 Man City
Cardiff 3-2 Man City
Aston Villa 3-2 Man City
13 points and we've played 11 games against those 6 sides, they've played 10.
West Brom 1-1 Liverpool
Liverpool 2-2 Aston Villa
Only 4. Liverpool are the flat track bullies.

-- Tue Apr 29, 2014 3:25 pm --

Could just as easily have been "Players that can't hit a barn door with a shovel always seem to score against us."

Yea i think they will be pretty flat now and there will be a few quiet voices in training this week

But its so important for us not to give them something to cling onto by dropping points this week

We really need to rub salt in the wounds before their trip to Palace on Monday, then we will see if they have any fight left emotionally and physically

May just be the case. Ourselves and Chelsea have had to pick ourselves up after results that looked like they had done for our chances, while as you say they have been riding a crest of a wave and haven't had to do any dusting off and picking themselves up. Hopefully bubble is well and truely burst.
Back to Everton game. What time does everyone think is a good time to start boozing on Saturday? Want to stiffen a few nerves but don't want to be so drunk as to put my beautiful new tv in danger or the wife either....but more importantly the tv is safe

MOMENTUM!! That is what Liverpool had when they were on their 11 game run,now that's over. We have Momentum and it looks like a Yaya Toure who is up for it,we also have experience which Liverpool don't they have never been in this position so it's all charting new waters for them. If Yaya comes to the party we will beat a good Everton team ala Newcastle 2 years back

Not so sure , I think their support will be a lot more muted than usual.

Reverse the situation and what would your reaction be if in a parallel situation City had nothing to play for (effectively) and by losing to another team the Rags probably miss out on the title? I know where my head would be - a City loss. Sorry but my support is tribal when it comes to the scum after suffering years of dog abuse from them.
