Oh yes... I remember a bit of it now...

Mentally prepare for the worst...

Deal with it in your mind... accept it.

Then you will be happy with any outcome better than the worst.

(Left out the jokes!)

Ok Everton fans, if you really want your red brethren to lose the league, camp outside your team hotel with trumpets and horns the night before our game and let them know how much you love them... all night long. :)

"We're not going out on the pitch to do anyone a favour. We're going out on the pitch to make sure we perform as well as we can.

"I've always felt that the relationship between the two clubs in the city, over many years, has had some incredible chapters. This would be another fascinating chapter.

"But I don't think there's any doubt about the integrity of our club towards the league. We are a team who want to win every single game that we go into.

"We're looking at ourselves. They are precious points for us. We can't afford not to give everything we've got for every point we have left to play for.

"Helping other teams is not the way we do our work. We just focus on trying to win for ourselves, and on having high standards in every game we go into."

Does anyone know how many Neverton first teamers are definitely out through injury?

I hope we player are under 21's and rest our first team for the Hull City game.

Views of some Everton fans on the Everton forum below.

“If they add the league to the Champions league of 2005 and other cups, then they have recovered their right to give it to us big style - forget the champions league of 2005, they know that was a one off, a freak win against the odds and even then they made out as though they were Barca. If they win the league, thats the one they want - the one they have craved and hated united for - it will be unbearable. I want City to win, simple as that.”

“Had a phone call earlier from a friend of the family whose hubby is a r/s armchair fan and said she doesn't think her hubby will be able to handle it if Everton fail to beat Citeh at the weekend, I told her to prepare for the worst, this could be a weekend our loveable r/s friends will remember for a long time, must go now, have to practice the Poznan.”

“Those saying that people not minding a City win are not seeing the bigger picture... it's the exact opposite of that; we are seeing the bigger picture. We're seeing a scenario where those unbearable bar stewards lord it over the city for the next 10 to 50 years, "Captain Fantastic Stevie G getting what he deserved", "Luis Suarez is the new Dalglish", car bumper stickers and full kit winkers wherever you look, all the while hearing YNWA sang badly and with the wrong words all over the place for a year and a day.
Some things are worth sacrificing to prevent every day life becoming a living hell in Merseyside. Rolling over to City knowing we only need a point from Hull away to satisfy our remaining season objective is one of those things every day of the week.”

“guys guys, by the time we play City, spurs and man utd would have already played. Say spurs lose, and man utd drop points I bet you will be cheering on city like you're Noel Gallagher.”

“Arsenal are going to win their games, without a doubt. Do you really want to see Liverpool parading around our city with the Premier League trophy? We'll never hear the end of it. Remember Istanbul 2005? They STILL talk about it as if it happened last week. This will be far, far worse”.

"Oh god I don't know whether to laugh or cry with the situation we find our selves in"

must go now, have to practice the Poznan

lol

"Everton Fans" supplied by the good people at Paddy Power dot com.

You know where to come.

evertonians will be up for this , they hate the martyrs , but the team they hate most outside dipperpool is city , because of the lescott business and gargoyle whipping them up to a frenzy , they will enjoy us cocking up our title challenge at goodison , just as much as ending the martyrs title dreams , its a win/win for the bluenoses of scouseland , expect absolutley no favours from this lot . A tough game , but with gazbaz not playing and distin and jagielka a bit ring rusty from injury , we will do them. COYB

Get real, you must be joking.... it's Liverpool first by a mile, I'd say Man United are 2nd (with Rooney)..... that Lescott is s**t is long forgotten with him warming the bench, as for Moyes I'm so glad he went with the pile of s**t defense minded football we use to play.He was shown up when the ginger dick went to United. Were much better under Martinez!!! Upwards and on wards. The only reason why Everton play out of the skins against you lot is too do with all the money you've got and all the money we don't. It'll be the players fault if you loose!!

Man City are 40 miles up the M62.... the RED SH*TE are on our door step!! Do you really think we want a Liverpool Title parade going down Everton road on the way to Anfield followed my a load of plastic F**King supporters. YOU REALLY DON'T GET IT DO YOU!! WE HATE LIVERPOOL!!?? Obviously you don't hate Manchester United as much as we hate LIverpool!!! and you can't be from Manchester!!! like I'm from Liverpool.... so you don't have to live with the gobsh*tes!!!!!!!

IF YOU REALLY THINK THAT ANY TRUE EVERTONIAN WANTS TO GIFT THE TITLE TO THAT RED SHOWER OF SHIT!!! THEN YOU REALLY DON'T HAVE CLUE!!

i expect no favours from the players but Evertonians generally want us to win. Four season ticket holders at work and they all have that view. One not going cos he said he was bothered he would cheer if we score.

So what yer sayin' pal ?

no matter how much we as fans both would like a city win we have to remember the everton players as professionals will be playing to win this. most evertonians just despise the thought of the RS winning the premiership and the fact that city could prevent this, is a massive coincidence re this fixture. most evertonians will want to see an everton win but should we fail i think it will not be too disheartening. in fairness i think if city play to about 70% of their potential they should walk this game. but, we all know football does not work out that way sometimes and we will have to see.

Oh yes as an Evertonian I'd love Liverpool to win the league, so when I go down the local I can enjoy my pint and sing a long to Liverpool songs for the next 10 years, listen to Shankly this, Daglish that and all the lovely Liverpool stories. I'm going to love waving my Everton scarf at the Title winning parade open bus that will go past Goodison on the way to Anfield. I'll enjoy this and much, much more if Liverpool win the title, I think i'll also change my middle name to "Suraez" too because I'll be enjoying life so much in Liverpool!!!!!

Everton have a responsibility to the Premier League. To roll over and let us tickle their tummies.

Anyone happen to know a decent City-friendly pub in London where I can watch this? I'll be in the Southwark area, but anywhere reasonably central will do. I don't mind being the lone City fan doing my nut in the pub, but I'd rather be part of a collective madness, this time round.
